Hmm...interesting, not convinced you're right though. But unfortunately where as I might claim to be knowledgeable about maths, I certainly cant claim to know much (well anything really) about the history of languages. So disagreeing on the basis of some quick research is pointless. Anyway, thanks for explaining your view point.

Sorry, seems I didnt make myself understood clearly enough. I'm saying that dealing with numbers from right to left isnt a legacy of arabic. Its a legacy of the system itself. If you can offer proof to the contrary I'm genuinely interested to know.

Sorry, but the premise for what you've written is incorrect. And strangely you even touch on the truth at the beginning. We got our number system from the Arabs, they got it from India. Thats why its called the Hindu-Arabic numeral system. They werent the creators, they just passed it on. Thats not to say they didnt add to it of course (I think they developed fractions) but to claim most of our mathmetics comes from them is a wild inaccuracy. What you've described is a positional n

All I noticed when I upgraded to SP3 was that my machine didnt boot anymore. Aside from that no changes at all. :P

I think the problem with people's view about declawing is that they assume a cat's claws perform the same function as human nails and thus maybe cant see the harm. A cat relies on its claws for balance and removing them places undue stress on other parts of the body. They are also an important part of a cat's scenting/claiming ritual as they have glands in their paws and the clawing action helps them do this. Declawing really is quite brutal from a cat's point of view. And even if it

Theres a space RTS coming out plans to do the whole orbiting planets thing , I think its called Shattered Suns (might be wrong though). However its an integral part of their game and its on a much smaller scale (just single solar systems) so it may well work for them. I cannot see it working with Sins. Theres always a temptation to add realistic features to games, but unfortunately more realism is not equal to more fun. I dont need to repeat whats already been said but you'd fundamen

A "feature" thats particularly annoying me at the moment is when I try to retreat a fleet. If any of my ships get disabled, the rest of the fleet continue jump and then turn around and jump back in again to join the disabled ships. It doesnt seem to matter what settings I have in grouping or engagement, they always seem to have suicidal tendancies.

Asking for proof of purchase is entirely reasonable in my opinion. The reality is if your key is already in use then its likely because somebody downloaded the game and used a key generator. Stardock are just as much a victim as you in this circumstance and they would be incredibly silly to act without verifying exactly who the key belongs to. And as has already been said, you might get better results with a calmer approach.

[quote]Wow, I would never have expected this type of comment. The rest of the world has been shocked at how much extra material we've already put out and Frogboy just outlined a whole bunch of new stuff. It's even been making news on some of the major sites... I don't think this is a fair statement at all and if anything we are near the top of the heap in terms of providing new material and incentives to stick around. (We've had 3 major updates in just under 1.5 months with much more to come)<br
