I agree, the scaling seems to fit the game's overall aesthetic look. I also happen to find it pretty cool. However, I can also see the merits of the first kind of zooming, and for something like this, why NOT leave it an option?

Cannot get Metaverse working in Metaverse GalCiv2 Forums

I have made a Metaverse account, and created a character for it, http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=player&id=9585 . When I run GalCiv2, and click the Metaverse button, I am asked to login. I login to my account, and the game tells me I need to create a character, which I have already done, what can I do to make the game see my character?

I've been playing GalCiv2 for a while now, and the only problems I'd experienced were: a. After playing for a while I get the dualcore problems. b. Once I load a game and start playing, I can't load a game again without crashing GalCiv2. However, as I was playing today I encountered another problem.
