Alright I added "/purgecache" to the shortcut so that the "Target" text box read as follows: "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe" /purgecache Then I loaded up a singleplayer skirmish to try out bramble shield and it still lacked any sort of visual effect.
I also have an Nvidia 7950 with all settings set to high and the problems I have are pretty much exactly what has been described above. The problems persisted even after reinstalling the program, defaulting settings, changing resolution, etc.
