Yes DethAdder !!!! Strive to NEVER turn down bells and whistles. The gameplay is GREAT !!!! No doubt about ... BUT THE EYE CANDY IS DANDY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Byram
@Mumblefraz You never miss a trick buddy.. but you MAY suffer excess load or turn times ???
For the game with (no mods) the 15 parsec range makes sense. Despite the "eyes of ..." wonder, come on - what ship, starbase or planet could see EVERYTHING ??? If you want to mod this feature, well then go for it ... but other wise it is a good game limit IMHO.
Backstab morale penalty ??? NO, example: WW2 - Germ vs Russ - the germs were glad to kick russ butt. The ethic bc cost is perfect for align issue... population is cheap, they follow like sheep !!!
You bring up a great point vukasika, I find that each game I am building new ship versions to fit my current game ...
More OT: I love the BLack HOle Gun !!!! But those darn torpedos did help me win my first Tough level game ...
OT I would win the battle as EITHER fleet !!!! Because in a close battle I ALWAYS have multiple fleets ready to attack. The AI NEVER does that, so the player will WIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THe galaxy is mine.
Wow, oh yeah !!! When I first got GC2 I sang: It's my birthday Got my game on It's my birthday Won the lottery It's my birthday Dark Avatar is HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!!!
NO shame Telefrog !!!!! Every Emperor started somewhere ... Today Ensign, tomorrow ... Darth Omega !!!!!!!!!!!!
That would be "enemy resource bases".
The reason is each ship has a different cost. I also include the #2 type in Battle fleet groups to grab enemy resourse bases.
When I first started playing I used the default constructor, until I realized it was just too SLOW !!!!!! Now I build 3 types #1 - 1 engine, no range mod - used to build local econ starbases only. #2 - 2 engines, basic range mod - used to grab resource starbases. #3 - 2 engines, max range mod - used for range extend on gigantic maps. Are there any other type that other players use ????
Thanks to Mumble for the Race bonus stats, I just "cut/paste" that into my strat guide. As for the Torians, Uck!!!! They are so ugly I don't think I could EVER play a game as them. They look like a green version of that weird, creepy "phone home" alien... And they are sooo much fun to destroy, I think that is the reason they are in the game !!!!!
Thanks for the translation update CornhuskerMac... I love that song. OT - this is the face I make when I pull my hair out -
Yes, good point Moosetek13... That AutoSave has saved me more than once... I LOVE THAT STUPID FACE
I think a way point to way point, attack any enemy (at war with) would be great !!! The face is a little OT, I just like it, hehehehe
Of course I have many other save games... like my "Invasion" save game slot, just in case I do not like how the battle goes...Major cheese, I KNOW !!!!!!!
@Draknost YES, I always do this...but I have been known to do major Cheese
My Fav Face is .... It has the one open eye, the tongue thing and well, it just looks blasted !!!
How many save game slots do players use for thier active games ???? At first I used 5 slots, and I kept a paper "starlog" to keep track of alignment events and anomoly bonus stuff, etc... Now I just use 2 slots and alternate them as I save my current game. What do other players do ?????
On a gigantic galaxy playing the Dread Lords sandbox scenario, I have used starbase range extend and have explored approx 3/4 of the map ... still no Dead Lords !!!!! I will find them and then, let the fun begin !!!!!!
My version of the "Mumblefratz starbase network" includes all trade upgrades to the econ starbases... I use the freighters and trade to boost both income and diplo rating...
I will build tiny survey ships early, then after the anomoly rush ...I upgrade them to fighters.
Wow, I am with eride. Even on gigantic size galaxy my longest load time is aprox 2 min. You are one tough game playing dude Scintor !!!!!!! If I had to wait that long I would pull out what little hair I have left
I see your point Mumblefranz, I have always seen a pretty reasonable amount of "credit" in the ship build after conquest...so it seems that Mistralok may have experienced something unusual.
