It turned out to be a corrupt file. Got that fixed. Rylen

I reported this earlier in "Better, but no cigar." I thought it was a late game bug. No, I've tried a few more games and whenever I try to talk with anyone I get dumped to Windows. I've tried smaller size games and playing on a freshly restarted system. No effect. Here's an error file: Debug Message: Version v1.11 last updated on: Mon May 8 11:15:04 2006 Debug Message: Could not find a TGN Serial No. Debug Message: *********DXDiag info follows.*********<br
I've been playing for a couple weeks (despite the bugs) and have two sorts of requests. First, some make it easier ideas: --a "best offer" button so I don't keep slowly working to make sure the credits stay green --a gauge of how useful my counterpart thinks his and my offers are. (credits are a uesful measure) --a "revise design" button that replaces existing modules with their more advanced counterpart within the same series -- so Laser I gets replaced by Laser II.
I've gone to version 1.11. Game is much more stable, but still drops me to windows occasionally. Latest game ran fine in all ways for a while. Then I tried to talk to other races and was dropped to windows. I rebooted (clear memory), reloaded, and got the same result. I created a save game and could reliably produce the drop out. I played for a while, saved, and by trying to contact another race could get kicked out. I built up a Culture Base right by a home world to force contact. And I
Hey -- I'm message/reply #1. I wanted to emphasize my game-ending glitches drop me to Windows but do not reboot the computer. Rylen
Good idea. I get game ending (but not system stopping crashes) occasionally. The best one, start program --> go to options --> click viedo tab --> move mouse --> wait. Don't even need a game running. All clipped from the .err file. I could use a nice summary message on game crash.
