Out of memory when playing TOTA in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

When i play A long game of GC2:TOTA i get a out of memory message and the game crashes. What can i do to stop this? What so special about DA that it cause my laptop to overheat and eventually shutdown? This never happen with GalCiv II dread lord. From what I have read DA is even more cpu intensive than DL, so it will be running the cpu(s) at max more often. That generates more heat. Is there another way of keeping my computer from overheating?

Computer randomly shut completely off when playing Dark Avatar.I have to manually turn the computer on twice because the first time i turn computer on it back shut back off.The second time i turn the computer on it start back normally.
