Why not do something similar to Civ4, where a % of income and production is wasted on 'corruption' and that % is tied to the *distance* the income and production is from your homeworld this would allow a very healthy core of planets but not allow the omgwtfbbqhax income levels that people are achieving with their population + happyness + market spam Just a thought

I think the greatest advice to give a new player is: Do not rush to advanced labs or factories - the basic low level improvements are affordable and do a suitable job for YEARS. Focus instead on more planets, because more planets means more people and more people means more $'s and more $'s is what fuels your research and manufacturing. $1 = 1 research $1 = 1 production This is true regardless of how advanced your labs and factories are. The more advance

I believe it is related to other ships entering and leaving an auto-fleet rally point. I could be wrong but stardock should know about this bug if anyone there has ever used the feature late-game for more than a few turns. It is clearly not a hardware issue memory? I have 2 gigs of fast corsairs processor? dual core AMD64 3800 overclocked (yes it happens when not overclocked as well) video card? PCIEx16 NVidia 7600 with 512 megs drivers? all the latest<br

Do NOT build any economic buildings (except economic capital on your home planet) in the beginning of the game. In fact i usually build nothing but galactic stock markets and this ONLY when my pop is at least 10B. If not they are basically a waste of moey. Economy buildings don't have any upkeep cost AFAIK, so cannot be a 'waste.' If you plan on

Something to add: A fleet of 2 ships with 1 troop module each is SUPERIOR to 1 ship with 2 troop modules, and the main reason why is this: If after the invasion there are still enough troops to fill a transport, one will still be in orbit and STILL HAVE MOVEMENT POINTS! This works especialy well with large fleets .. a fleet of 10 troop carriers can take many planets on the same turn .. leveraging billions of troops multiple times!

A neutral zone! The thing is that the cultural borders don't really mean anything outside of cultural victory and that really does bug me. In GalCiv2, the only way to 'own' an area of space is with a superior military and a war declaration against the universe. You don't even get a line-of-sight advantage

I registered my collectors edition copy of GC2: Dread Lords and follow the link to the collectors edition content and that page is asking me to log in using the upper right hand corner input boxes. Unfortunately I am already logged in. Logging out and back in does not help. The collectors edition content page continues to ask for me to log in.
