You didn't provide a compelling argument - and drew unsupported conclusions based on opinion, as if it were fact. This isn't a flame, this is just how I read your words. Here is one example: Because the AI in the game is rather easily beaten at this time, playing a match against them results in an easy victory... That assumes you are only playing against bots as in 1 v bots pantheon or skirmish match. I'm certain there are&nbsp

I held off on responding after folks started posting how-tos, since you'd previously indicated you weren't confident about ensuring your system was clear. TW: You're still at square one. If you're not comfortable clearing the system prior to backing up, I stand by my original advice. It is probably better to learn about how to clear a virus and prevent data loss when you are not currently at-risk. Also, that post and link to the suspect U3/flash drive AV software s
m still confused what you're trying to say about server-defining, though.
When you go looking for a game, you may set some criteria in your own mind about what you want. Things like map, # of players, ping, whatever. These are things that define a server or the rules and limits of the server. So when you add new options that describe the rules or features of a server, that's what I'm thinking about when I used the term "server-defining". Some fea

I'm on the fence about the all favor items on proposal. I would probably want to try it just to play with different items more readily. But beyond testing, I don't think I'd want the feature for 'real' gameplay. But I do want to suggest that "More options is always better" is not always the case. The proposed option is a risky one because it's not just any old option - it's an option that defines a server. Having too many subsets of server types carries the ris

This topic is probably being ignored because it is worthless. It is worthless because it ignores the existence of the other topic that I linked (above) - the one from Stardock that provides both setup/troubleshooting steps as well as requests very specific information that you need to provide if you are still having issues. Good luck with your bumps.

QoT makes my game lag slightly more. Yes, I'm pretty sure it's a DG-specific issue. Maybe my PC is borderline on performance, and the extra jiggly sprites on QoT push it over the edge. But OP? lol. Sedna on the other hand has a big cat that routinely eats my face. Still learning how to play against her. I tried playing as Sedna but lost because I nodded off trying to cause damage. OP? Nah.
I didn't realise this about matching 3v2. That is the by far the worst idea I've heard in multiplayer matchmaking in the history of RTS games. I'm starting to wonder if the guy in charge of the multiplayer portion of DG has EVER played an RTS game. Pantheon basically doesn't work (which is mostly attributed to people leaving the queue on purpose in order to play as a premade... I find that extremely hard to believe
well i think its kinda crap to get uneven teams all the time.
well i think its kinda crap to have players disco when they don't like what they see all the time. Because then you pretty much guarantee those that remain and try to play end up with uneven games - and (just as bad) make those that remain wait even longer. If you keep this up, the players are going to screw it up all by themselves without any help from the matchmaking system.</p

This isn't going to be 100% true in all cases, but what you're describing - crashing unless you limit the amount of memory in use, points to a memory defect. Whether the defect is in GPU texture memory or main system RAM depends on what that L4D setting is doing. I don't have the game, so I don't know. But if it's limiting texture memory, then it may be your video memory. If it's limiting the amount of system RAM used by the game to swap out between the faster (but usually

I want basic issues - pathing for example - sorted out before this topic leads to some new, undiscovered method of implementing a superior cybernetic+dolphin hybrid that rules the world. Specifically, very specifically, the AI currently can't path itself on the Crucible map. All 3 times I've played the map single player, (normal AI) the computer lost without me having to do anything. The OpFor just never really get very far out of their litt

There is a potential advantage to being on the low side of a 3v2, and that is you'd be potentially gaining more XP within the same time span as the side with the larger number of players. Is it a perfect balance? Probably not and it can probably swing balance in either direction (because it would be situational. For example, is your one team mate getting all of the XP from kills, while you languish back at the base mimicking a road-side pylon?). Personally, I'd avoid strivin

The 'new' demigod concept I'd embrace is the ability to create pantheons that represent the gods of various cultures through history. Given my forum nick, my first choice would be a set of Aesir (old Norse) gods, such as Thor, Odin, Loki, etc. Given my alternate forum nick ("Vanir"), I'd be looking at Frey and Freya and others from the Vanir of old Norse Mythos doing battle with the Giants in Alfheim or on the flaming rainbow bridge of Asgard. Don't like Nor

Alt+TAB in DirectX isn't defined by Microsoft's DirectX API (at least not under DX9 and prior - I don't know about DX10). What this means is that developers and video card and driver manufacturers cannot know in advance how to handle what happens if a user task switches out from full-screen. If a game is running full-screen, and requires some sequence of events to complete once that sequence begins, it (the game, and the developers of the game) can't really know in advance if a user is

Several UI panels default to positions that cover up one another. Default size/position should be adjusted so that by default you don't hide one panel behind the other. The panel sizes and positions should be saved across sessions so that when/if yo do resize or move a given panel to a preferred location, you don't have to do it each gaming session. Anchor the panels so they cannot be partly dragged out of the viewport and make them dockable, such that they can be anchor

Inconsistent and incomplete (and therefore, inaccurate) information about port setup for this game turned a few minutes of configuration/setup/testing into a couple of hours of wondering what went wrong. I'd bet if you can fix this non-technical issue, you'd help a fair number of people. It definitely would have helped me. The issue: ..\Demigod\bin\ DemigodManual .pdf states ports 6100 to 6200 should be opened.
