Hm...I didn't think of backstory. I'll have to brainstorm and get back to you. As for what I've already got, does it look alright? Piercing Strike seems a little OP now that I think about it. I'm thinking of reducing the damage by a third.

I can see a game with three or more Demigods per side doing an All Father's Ring rush. Three players save up 10K gold, and two of them buy Godplate. They give 'em to player three, who sells them. With the 16K he gets from selling the Godplates combined with his own 10K, he's got enough for a Ring with 1K to spare.

I usually skip poison arrows myself, but the other shoulder weapons are quite useful. The archer upgrade is useful for crowd control, since they fire crazy fast. Creeps drop like flies with this. The tower of light is more powerful, and nice for that little extra damage when enemy DGs show up, or you're pushing up a lane. The Trebuchet has increadible range, and is useful for pounding the enemy while you move back into
No but seriously, some items are designed to be essential(especially your standard consumables) and it's a bad idea to apply the market principle to these.
I would imagine that consumables would be on a different marketing system that the rest of the items, like they can't go more that 10-15% above or below the base price. I would like to see how this would affect the other items.
I play using a trackball, which lacks a scroll wheel. Are there keyboard commands for zooming in and out?
