I agree with Odit on this one; both of his/her posts. And, on the note of the last one: Demigod is not the same game as DoTA, but it has some similar core mechanics, at least in this early stage. There are quite a few problems that people have seen with DoTA (and this type of game specifically), and we're voicing our concerns so that GPG can make this game surpass those flaws. Games have a ton of UI and Server-side stuff that, in DoTA, was simply handled by Warcraft III. We have the a

Hmm, I really like the smoke idea. The other two are meh, but smoke would be interesting. Also, I think it'd be nice to further emphasize his two skillsets, sniper and minelayer, by adding different skills. Perhaps tweak it so the player has to choose bewteen maxing out one path or being mediocre at both (something like a skill cap would do the trick)?
I was wondering if you guys were going to rescale some of the sizes. In the trailer, the rook is HUGE compared to the units. Here, while he is still impressive, it wouldn't hurt to make him slightly larger (say, 10%). The other two heroes I can understand, but it's good to have some differentiation in Hero sizes.
I agree with Legerdemain, and would like to add that the endgame board should have all of the information, such as: who you killed (and count) who killed you (and count) creep kills actions per minute total gold etc, etc...
I think an eight player free-for-all (where you can capture all of their stuff, and they yours) with each player arranged in a ring or somesuch woulf be great.
I am a fan of Slow Mines as a game mechanic, though the game isn't really fast enough to warrent them. As for the whole "stun breaker item" idea, I think it has the potential to break any stun's effectiveness (and thus rendering the game mechanic useless). The trick is to playtest through all of the possible stun+genk maneuvers and see what works and what doesn't. I do like the idea of not being able to stun a stunned/frozen player, and would like to see this in action. It might be th
Proc: AMD Athlon64 FX-60 Video: BFG Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX 1st Attempt: Game runs fine, joins hamachi'd game, loads quickly. We play about 10 minutes, then it crashes after I use "Angelic Fury" (an ult of the Bowman). I suspect it overloaded because a lot of ults were going off at once. 2nd Attempt: Game runs find, we start on same hamachi server, same two players. Game crashes when I select the "Angelic Fury" upgrade. When the game cra
I like irssi, myself. I'm usually running Colloquy, though.
Hey, how is Stardock/GPG bugtracking, and how do we submit bugs? I think we should use something like bugzilla, if that's possible. It would make things easier, and more open.
