I just started seeing this issue on 32-bit Windows Vista Business SP2. Replacing imageres.dll with the original version didn't fix the problem, either. Is there a temporary file I need to clean out somewhere? Apparently logon theme files are encrypted. Why this is I don't understand, but that was part of the cause. I had enabled FIPS compliance on my machine, which essentially mandates a minimum strength of encryption, and LogonStudio doesn't use that hard core of an encryption scheme, causing the program to throw a fit. I can't seem to load any new themes into LogonStudio Vista. When I click the "Load" button and choose the file to load, I get an error message, shown below. I can click "Continue" and everything still works, but still nothing loads. Dragging and dropping does the same thing. Double-clicking brings up a "LogonStudio Vista has stopped working" window; the app never shows up. I tried reinstalling, with no success. Any thoughts? -------- Unhand
