I thought there was a way to set up teams between the AI's. I may be mistaken, can you not do that like you could on Empire Earth or Starcraft? It just makes it void if you post it to metaverse.

The problem is that when some to most people "enjoy their life as much as possible" it is at the expense of someone else's, thus the cycle begins. Very prideful.

I just find it sad that someone would not believe in SOME type of "afterlife" or God. The most depressing thing I can think of is that there is nothing beyond or better than the life you have now. Some would argue that "nothingness" after death is no problem, and I would venture to say those people have had a very tough life or are extremely wore out with the day to day grind of living. How does one get the icon of an actual race in your sig? Do you have to play "x" number of games with one particular race or have a certain number of victories. Inquiring minds want to know. First one to post the answer wins my gratitude, but thats it.

Drath are fun for getting others to fight one another, but for some reason I love playing the Korx, even though the super ability is kinda lame. Trading is nice for some needed cash, but usually ends up pointless after a few wars kill off your trade routes.

the Aphro is civilization wide, not planet specific. They might also have built fertility clinics, although I note the AI seems to rarely, if ever, bother with those.

Take time to learn what the techs do, once you understand which line of tech does what you can lean on which tree line you need to win. If you plan on wheelin' and dealin' with the other races or try to start wars between them, you need to focus on diplomatic techs ( yellows ). It will also help with trading techs and selling techs if you have that enabled. Should you be inclined to win by conquest, you need to pick one of the 3 trees of weapons and focus mostly on that tree.

I play DA on my notebook all the time, and it is Vista, 2k RAM, and only a 256 Video card. You should be fine

Morale is a huge bonus if you having trouble with cash because it allows for a higher tax rate while keeping approval at good levels, but I agree the speed is awesome. Normally I will use just the +1 bonus in speed, it still allows you to navigate much faster at the early rush stage without spending 8 points. And one of the races gets a speed bonus built in also, so you can really explore quickly with that combo (Torians?).

Yeah it was a really schweet game. I was working my diplomatic skills like crazy and focused on expanding to as many colonies to crank out research points, but in hindsight I screwed up. I didnt even build a military until it was almost too late. I started research on one of the earlier boxes along the tech path victory and out of nowhere the Terrans, the Korx, and the Drath declared war on me within 2 turns. Anyone able to help me out with this? I was trying to post my game to metaverse but it says the serial number doesn't match my metaverse account. I bought the game, have the code key, and am the only one who plays it, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't match. Any ideas?

Character creation in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Having a real problem registering at the infinite number of sites to actually create a character to participate in the metaverse. I have gotten the email and clicked the link to validate my account but when i go to make the character and it asks for name and serial number it says that number is already registered, and gives me another link to click. So i go there, enter email and serial number and try again, same thing. Any suggestions?
