While I'd love to have a steampunk character in Demigod, the developers mentioned several times that it was not their intention to have this kind of technology in Demigod. Regulus was given a crossbow rather than a rifle for a reason. This said, I'll be the first to support a steampunk character, be it assassin or general, however he has to be unique and not a Regulus clone with a gun.

No dragons. Dragons are emblematic of cliche, tired fantasy archetypes with Scottish dwarves, forest elves, wizards with pointy hats and apostrophes in character names. Demigod has an original fantasy background. Please don't spoil it with generic fantasy creatures. Connatic, you're being unfair. Not every angel is Kid Icarus. Not every vampire is dracula. While you have a point with Poison Ivy, not every cat-riding character is Priestess of the Moon. Demigod ch

Derek Smart is a successful game developer with a PhD degree and three best-sellers behind his belt: http://www.metacritic.com/search/process?sb=0&tfs=all&ts=3000+A.D.&ty=3&x=0&y=0 But why does it matter who says what about Demigod/Stardock/Gas Powered Game/Brad Wardell? Do you really want developers to participate in shouting matches? Let Stardock and Gas Powered Games work on the game in peace and let deeds speak, not words.

.3 seconds is enough to interrupt an ability, though. Perhaps that's the intention. One shot out of 33 has a chance to interrupt.

I would assume that the delay is to give Stardock/Gas Powered Games the time to test and publically release the next patch or perform network maintenance. Otherwise I definitely do not see the point.

These reports are very informative and I'd love to see this trend continue in the future. Given how you do, after all, have a company to manage, I'd assume that in the future they will be a weekly event, if not rarer, however it always inspires confidence in the product when the developer/publisher shows so much support. It is good to hear that some of the worst problems in relation to the Demigod architecture are getting fixed. I am eager for the day when the multiplayer will be stab

I strongly agree that releasing modding tools would give longevity to the game. However, given how Demigod is mostly a multiplayer title, how would you suggest to implement player-made additions to the game while monitoring it for cheats/exploits? Only allowing mods in password-protected rooms? Adding a specific, mod-friendly game type? If modding tools are implemented, how many people can honestly say they will spend the time and effort to push Demigod further?

It appears as the original poster is complaining about the time it takes to update the custom gamelist. It takes, according to him, up to 30 seconds for the list to referesh and display the individual games running. Frankly, I do not see how this is a major issue. 30 seconds is not a big deal and besides, is comparable to online FPS titles. The difference is that these games slowly populate thes list whereas Demigod does it all at once. As mentioned before, 30 seconds is not very long
