Frankly, I just want to be able to see a Custom Match's gametype before I connect.

When looking at Demigod on other computers, I see the special effects are a lot more full-blown than on my gaming laptop. Flags glow when they just spin on mine, teleports use blue squiggly lines instead of a mini-wormhole, etc. I've never had any problem with FPS (simspeed is another matter, but enough of that), but even with the highest graphical settings, the special effects are always much more subdued. Is there any way to change the special effects' magnitude?
