Should also be aware that you won't get a refund for Stardock unless its for an unsolvable technical issue on your end. You can't get a refund just because you don't like the game.

Got the game delivered today in Australia this morning. Already had the game downloaded as soon as it was released on Impulse but I completely forgot that I ordered the box version as well so it was a nice surprise! Fun fact, ordering the game directly from Stardock is cheaper (by almost 50%) and quicker than what it would've been to get it from a retailer here in Australia. :P
You guys do realise that most of the depth of the game comes from the selection and use of Demigod abilities, right? An answer like "you should of ended the game before they got so much weapon damage" is incredibly short-sighted and its clearly been confirmed that is a very DotA influenced comment (and guess what, Demigod is not DotA). The abilities should be able to stay competitive right up to the end-game. Otherwise the depth and variety of combat goes out of the window and the gam
Yep totally agree. Was thinking the exact same thing myself when playing QoT with all 3 idols and maxed out shamblers and trying to keep track of how many I still had during the battle.
What you are saying Yuki (I think) is exactly why there needs to be an attribute that increases the potency of Demigod abilities, so its not all about getting a super-powerful auto-attack (which is currently your only option for increasing your DPS past leveling and selecting higher rank abilities). The Demigod abilities are what gives the game depth, so I personally think its a bit of a problem that the only way you can enable your Demigod to do alot damage with the items is via his weapon a
I think players could have alot more fun with the items if there were two additional attributes implemented to the game. One attribute would increase the power of Demigod abilities (increase damage, durations etc) The other attribute would increase the resistance to Demigod abilities (reduce damage, durations etc) This would pretty much complete the game in terms of attributes and buff items I think. My favourite Demigod is the Torchbearer
Yea no.
Totally agree, I hope its added to the game. Some people like it for the challenge and also for the advantage of playing an anonymous demigod.
Don't worry Brad, the more veteran gamers among us know full well that multiplayer games (especially those which are peer-to-peer based and/or rely on some sort of central server system) know full well that it takes some time to get everything setup just right. Its very difficult to test for real-world conditions and I don't blame you for some of the issues that do exist due to the excess traffic. You guys are doing a good job so far and some people should just have a little patience (especia
Demigod was suppose to be dota at a 100% only in mythology style?
Please tell me you are kidding ... right? The only elements Demigod and DotA share are the fact they are both strategy games with RPG elements, and thats where the comparison ends.
Pointless feedback if you don't elaborate why you suggested each change. You have to talk about the reason for the change and how the change will better the game.
Personally I think if you opened up the beta to the masses, the amount of quality feedback given compared to the "noise" (ie- useless posts that aren't contributory to the beta process, or people who want the game to be something else) would suffer greatly. The Dawn of War II beta just recently went open, and there is alot more noise (even to the extent of one guy saying there wasn't much action or fighting - for those who played that beta feel free to chuckle.). Not only that but mos
Looking forward to it. You better bring back my Torchbearer, or else! [e digicons][/e]
While I can't comment on how good she is gameplay wise in Demigod having not spent a great deal of time playing her, I do know she is the single most boring demigod in the game. Generic powers and no real overall theme (unless you count healing as a theme, but thats more of a role) unlike every other demigod in the game who have relatively unique and nicely fitting powers to their look and playstyle. Props to GPG for the Queen of Thorns however, who is awesome and doesn't have Sedna's
I don't think the password feature works, as I set one on a game so I could test out the new beta build and somehow someone still managed to join. Whether it was through the lobby or from using that instant match I have no idea but something was definately up. :P
It is annoiying, its like im talking to a bunch of children who are trying to act like animals... Fortunatly I ain't playing that game anymore. What a load of hype.
I stopped playing after I reached the space stage twice. I mean honestly the game has absolutely no qualities for the regular gamer (let alone the hardcore). Its way too casual.
Fully agree with this list. Every good PC game functionally has most of these features mentioned above. Some of the stuff mentioned in the list is covered by the Games For Windows initiative isn't it? I know widescreen support is one of them, but I'm unsure of what else are requirements.
I say serves EA right, I think Spore will be the last game I will ever purchase from them, the main reason I got it was because the gf likes the creature creator and figured there'd be a decent game behind it all (boy was I wrong there [e digicons]>_>[/e] ) .
Arguing about balance at this stage is pointless. What we are working towards from what I can gather is: 1- Getting Demigod in a technically solid and stable state. This is probably the most important thing to do first, because it makes it easier to test non-technical related parts of the game later on. 2- Finalising the game design elements not related to actual Demigod balance (ie- how to differeniate each Demigod to be different from one another, how the items will work and
Yeah I've heard about this alot, getting stuck is also another variation.
The game has also been extremely stable for me also. Well done GPG. :D Bring on Beta1-A.
quoting post Edit: An idea, throw in a splash screen telling people where to buy the game when they exit. . Everybody in the beta already bought the game, no ?
I lol'd. [e digicons][/e]
While we're on this topic, do not resort to using fugly team colouring pasted all over everything. Its not in use yet, and I hope it never does get used.
Great interview. Looking forward to part 2. I think its great what Brad is doing. You guys have got my wallet behind you all the way. [e digicons]XD[/e]
Yes I thought you guys had a hand in it. :) Can't wait to see what else you guys have worked on when we get to try out newer builds.
