Thanks for making this post. Now that it is at the price the game should have been at release, I thought I'd consider buying it. Now I know it would be a waste of money.
Did I not make it clear that I was saying it's two skills? I would say those two skills are each about as good as bite. Heal not only heals, but dispells. And it has a lower cooldown with her aura. The pounce interupts. The armor reduction on bite becomes negliable late game against other people, so it's only worth noting the move speed decrease which only has an effect against someone fleeing. I'

Hey there, I had a similar problem. I'm using Vista, and it hates me. I don't use any securtiy, but every now and then Windows Firewall decides that it's on (It's always off though). Even with the firewall being off, try to add Demigod to your firewall exceptions, and just generally make sure to give it a good talking to so that it knows to stay off, for real this time.

You said Vista 64 right? There's two registries, the one for 32 bit stuff is named something like WOW32node. For example, most of my games are stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node

The only problem I have with it is that it's better than Oak's shield. Oak has a huge cooldown timer, and it's only temporary for a few seconds. The bramble shield will absorb more damage than the invincibility simply because of how short Oak's shield lasts. Oak's shield only gets better in the late game where the damage gets ramped up, but even then the QOT can recast her shield and keep it up almost all the time, if the player wants to just be a buff bot.
Longer cooldown would be an awful idea. Bite sin't that bad. Look at sedna, even though it's across two skills, she can get 1550 heal and dispel, 1000 damage and an interupt, compared to erebus 900 heal and damage compared and the debuff that'll only drop 5% armor against good players. I touched on it on my balance thread at http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348135/ and I just think reducing it to 800steal would be enough
Supreme Commander is peer-to-peer and it works fine. My point is, GPG has a lot of experience in this area with a proven game (Supreme Commander) that demonstrates that this works. They know their stuff.
Yeah, it works fine now . Supeme Commander had the same problems as Demigod when it was released.

Another option is to fix the issues and then there's nothing left to whine about. Another couple of months and this game could have done very well.

They need to change this in the future. When I first used Stardock it took me some time and searching just to figure out how to use a feature that should have popped up during the installation.

The maps in this game are very simple, nothing more than some walkways and then it's mirrored. This seems like a feature that could be easy to add in the future. Some more cool backgrounds would be nice too, the snake and skull maps have awesome backgrounds.

No campaign or story If this game was like other multiplayer games like Team Fortress 2, Quake wars. Then it should be a $30 game or less. So even if they fix the multiplayer issues, it'll give the game an extra 10 points in review, but no where near the 90s. Quake wars was $50. Games j

The biggest reason why I haven't bought the game is because of the network issues I keep hearing about. My ports are already forwarded, but if others still can't connect then I have nobody to play with. The other reason is that 40 dollars is more than I'm willing to pay for what is little more than a pretty mod. Any of us that tried to play Supreme Commander know how terrible Gas Powered Games is with NATing and it will be a while before they get it sorted out.
Quoting Lionel-Richie, reply 14Do you mean Dedicated Servers hosted BY Valve and these publishers? I'm going to assume that's what you mean since all of those games DO have people running dedicated servers. If you're not playing on a DedServ you're lagging. I mean via the developer. If you mean allowing the consumer to host the servers then I'm all for that, if you want Stardock/GPG to host them, I disagree with that. So long as

Fine, nitpick, the point is if you're playing an RTS or an FPS, you're likely not playing on a dedicated server.
You were doing so well until you said FPS. Try again.
