The first game I played I enjoyed not at all. This was partly because I had no idea what I was doing and partly because I couldn't scroll with my mouse at the edge of the screen. My second game I enjoyed a bit more--I began to get a handle on items, goals, and skills. My third game was when the game started being really, genuinly, fun. I had a pretty solid handle on what I was supposed to be doing, and had gotten pretty used to scrolling with zoom/middle mous

This is really the only bug I've experienced, and it only happened once. What happened was that I was torchbearer, I and I hit a huge group of enemies (20+) with 3-4 aoe spells at once. This meant that I had at least 50, probably 100+ instances of overlay text on my screen, and none of it would disappear for several minutes, after which time it all disappeared.
+1 for this. I've since gotten a bit used to it, but it's my biggest gripe so far.
Not only is it gobs of fun, but I've seen fewer bugs in ~3-4 hours of play than I have in some finished games. Nice work guys!
I'm not a big fan of microing large numbers of units, so I'll probably be learning towards the assassin side of things. Probably one of the more sneaky/subtle ones, although I suspect I'll try to play all of them at least a bit when I start out.
