i played the beta last night and saw sedna turn to attack when i used the wand of speed, not sure if this is what you meant but it's still there. i guess this is one of the things Frogboy mentions is being looked at by GPG. p.s. as one of those who's had issues ever since the game was released (though none during the original beta) may i share in the w00t! Demigod lives again, my never ending respect for SD continues (despite this near death experience;))

Thanks Boffinboy, i'm in london so i should be able to get pretty close to the advertised 7.2mbps (though no idea how this relates to pings). as for getting a better line, this might work, but it's tied into a whole sky deal so probably a lot of hassle. not sure what people are doing with it, i've asked if they're torrenting and been told no, just getting fed up (as well p*ssing others off) spiking half way though a game. ho-hum, guess i'll go with changing the wpa key

agreed Proxi, but this is completely wireless carriers designed for light usage whilst commuting. hence the caps aren't normally an issue.

Hi, now that the conncetion issues have been fixed (yay!) i've found that my line's not good enough cos i share with people. i'm thinking of getting my own connection. i'm in the uk so there's a few high speed wireless carriers but the typically have a usage cap of 1-3Gb/month. anyone have any idea of how much is used in a typical online match. thanks MrL
