Game slow down when playing against the advent in Technical Sins Forums

Well, I have a powerful system (quad core & 8800 gtx) but whenever I fight the advent the game gets extremely slow especially when they use that bubble effect, I tried to lower the ship detail setting a little but it has no effect can someone give me a solution to this problem. :SNIFF!:
