Uninstall Comodo, I had the same problem with the game not loading and Comodo is the problem. I'm in the process of installing ZoneAlarm and hopefully that one works with Demigod. I will keep you up to date with my ZoneAlarm install, I've also made another post in this area, just look for my name Mothra44. There's alot of information under my post, Hope this helps.
I figured out what the problem is, it's Comodo. I installed it a little while ago and tried to load Demigod, It wouldn't load at all. I tried disabling some of the features in comodo to no avail, so I just uninstalled the entire program and Demigod loaded up with no problems what-so-ever. I'm running XP 32bit with SP3, an XFX 8800gtx "not overclocked", EVGA 680i motherboard "AR Version" and 4gigs Corsair Dominator 8500. I have all settings on high and anti-aliasing set to 4x and the game runs perfectly smooth. When I originally installed the game I had Comodo Firewall Pro on my system, there is some sort of conflict with Comodo and Demigod. I uninstalled Comodo and the game loads fine now, hopefully there is no conflict with any other firewall programs. A
I am running at a resolution of 1920x1200 and all the other setting's to high except aliasing, I have that set to 4x.
When you select single player and tournament in Demigod does anyone else experience long load times before getting into the game? I'm sure this will be optimized in future patches but I just wanted to make known to all and also to find out if you guy's are having the same problem. Thank you all so much for the help you've given me but I reinstalled my system and the game runs excellent now. I'm still not sure what program was causing the problem, I will continue to install the programs in which I had on my system before and I'll try Demigod out after each install, that way I'll figure out by process of elimination which program was the cause of the game not loading. I don't have a Logitech Quickcam nor do I have any type of camera hooked up to my system. Do you think that some other Logitech software could interupt with the game loading, I do have a Logitech G15 keyboard and a G5 Mouse. I do have the G15 keyboard software installed but not for my mouse. I just bought demigod today "04/10/09" and when I click on the demigod shortcut my mouse pointer shows the hourglass for about 1 second and then nothing happens. I've entered the cd-key and registered the game through impulse, also I've applied the update through impulse and I still can't get the game to run.
