Do you know what your previous resolution was? You can edit the Game.prefs file to go back to your former resolution by editing it in notepad. It isn't too complicated, you just have to open Game.prefs in notepad (you will find it in your My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod folder). Once you have it open go to edit > find and then in the prompt search for 'primary_adapter' (without the quotes) and press find next. The first thing that comes up should b

Yes go to your My Documents/My Games/Gas Powered Games/Demigod folder and open up the file called Game.prefs in notepad and then use the search function to find 'primary_adapter' this will be your resolution setting. Go ahead and just change that to what you want and hopefully it will work. If not look a page or two back and find a post I created about the Direct3D problem, there is a link in there to a fresh Game.prefs file. You will still have to edit the settings

Alright, I have been having this 'Unable to create Direct3D' problem and I have tried every solution posted on this forum but none of them worked. For the record I am running on a card very capable of running this game (8800 GTX). One of the many solutions suggested was to delete the Game.prefs file, but I, and many others don't even have this file. This is because the game seems to create it the first time it launchers, but for whatever reason on our machines it does not.</

God, I can't even start my game and I don't even want a refund. I just want it to work. But I guess if I can't find a real answer to my problem in the next couple of days there won't be any reason not to ask for one. Glad that they support refunds at least.

Did the game startup for you previously? Because I don't have that file. It does not exist on my machine. I am thinking the game has to startup at least once to create it.

I appreciate the suggestion but unfortunately this simply doesn't solve the problem for all of us. Particularly because for many of us that folder doesn't even exist. I think the game has to start at least once in order to create it.

I have tried fixing the drivers by first uninstalling them, restarting, running a driver cleaner and deleting all of my temp files, restarting, reinstalling the drivers, restarting and then launching the game. I still get this same message "Unable to create Direct3D" I am running on an 8800 GTX with 2gigs of ram and so forth, I don't think the quality of my machine is the issue. I have tried all of the solutions I have found on this forum with no success, so if anyone has

Having the same problem with the 8800 GTX. There are a lot of people having it but the solutions are kind of ambiguous right now. A few people seem to have solved it but I can't really seem to figure out how...the answers are very unclear.

I am having this same problem on the 8800 GTX. I uninstalled the drivers, restarted, used a driver cleaner, restarted, reinstalled the new drivers, restarted, and now it still isn't working.... What/where are the temp files I should be looking for specifically so I can do what the original poster did to solve the problem?
