I'm in the beta, but I believe it was said that we would have to uninstall the beta before we install the full version.
Aarojw
So what do I need to do in preperation of release? Uninstall DG? What?
Guess I ought to uninstall DG now so I can get it started DLing Monday morning.
They are pewter? Sweet! I figured they were just plastic or something. I happen to have something of an obsession with pewter. 2 pewter tankards, one knife with a pewter handle, one pewter ring... I think that's all. I luuurve pewter...
They're not pewter though, are they? Pretty sure they're just plastic.
I don't guess there's any chance of SD just letting us pre-orderers getting the game today? I'm a little irritated that we basically havee to wait 3 days after everyone can get it from their local Gamestop. I know the multiplayer servers aren't working perfectly, but just tide us over!
It'll do for a start . . . but try not to let your teammates get all those points. Those could be yours! Remember, they're your competitors too, in a way. *grin*
Indeed. Don't forget the backstory to the game: only one demigod can ascend to godhood. This seems to contradict how the game actually plays, but there it is.
I'm hoping so, but I don't really have any idea. Though, since DG and Sins are both Stardock, and you could do it with Sins, you can probably do it with DG as well.
This short story is longer than the one in the beta. Are all of them like that, or will the one in the game be changed?
Awesome. Can't wait till Monday!
This has been going on since I first got into the beta, but it seems to be even worse now with 3F. Basically, sounds sometimes "stutter", like a broken record. It playes just a moments worth of sound over and over again, and it eventually goes back to normal. But it will do it again in a few seconds, usually when I mouse over a button, or select a demigod. I don't think it's a sound card problem, as nothing specific is said about sound cards in the system requirements.

Good article. I believe that's a map we haven't seen as well, isn't it? Looks nice! I noticed one odd thing though: it said in the beginning that the All-Father mystiriously vanished, and wasn't kicked down. Is this an older article, or is the story changing again?
I know that they are planning on releasing a few demigods as free downloads post-release, but are there any plans for actual expansions, or going the Sins route, micro-expansions? As good a game as DG is, it could be a lot better with some micro-expansions, to make the game a bit deeper. Maybe rebuilding defense structures, for example? As it is, once the enemy destroys 2 or 3 of your towers, you're basically screwed. I'd like to be able to fight off the enemy and have
As fun as dominate is, I'd love to see a "real" caputer the flag mode. Of course, if the flag's in the enemy base, there would have to be a ton of towers removed, otherwise it'd be impossible to get in and out without getting pwn3d.
I think the main problem here is that the assassins are, in general, way more powerful than generals, and I'm not just talking about the demigod's personal strength and abilities. I think, if played right, generals should be able to take on an assassin 1v1 and have a fair chance. As it is, any assassin is gonna get whooped by an assassin every time. A general's supposed power lies in it's minions, and for the most part, any assassin can blast right through the minions and ta

Keep your preorder. You can only get the CE by ordering from StarDock, so you're good.

Then you'll have a bunch of people switching sides near the end of the tournament just to be on the winning team. Not everyone will do that, but a good many will. Anyone? EDIT-- sorry, didn't realize they had posted it on the list of bugs. I got in the game to see if it was fixed, and it worked the first time. But when I tried again, it was screwed up again. In fact, my own structures, and even my demigod were white.
You both are correct. You can win the map without backdorr warping, but it takes much longer than it should for such a small map. There are so many ranks of towers to destroy to get to the enemy base, it makes for a long game.
If don't know for sure, but I would assume that once one pantheon tournament is over, and one or other of the sides has won and another tournament begins, you would be able to chose sides once again. This is just a guess though, and I don't know for sure.
I had a similar issue with just trying to direct my minions to attack last night. I was playing Erebus and had 6+nightwalkers. A torchbearer walked up to them, I selected all my minions and right clicked on him. Only 1 nightwalker went to attack him. The torchbearer walked up close, rained, nova'd, and shattered me and my (oblivious) troops. Right now, Generals are having a bit of an issu
I'm in total agreement. I just played a game, me (playing as Rook) and another guy playing as UB, against two people playing as TBs. All they have to do to win is follow each other around, both stun one of us when they come accross us, and then attack. We're totally screwed. There is absolutely nothing we could do, except watch our demigods get frozen and wiped out. The game wasn't even fun. I'm not saying it was all a balance issu
