I know, Demigod's a multiplayer focused game, and most of you may well rarely ever play a single player skirmish game. But even so, is the "ready" button in SP even halfway necessary? I mean, you're the only one there. You have to press the ready button and then start the game. Granted, it's not that much trouble, but it's completely unnecessary. Just take it out already.

No, he should be a general, and be able to summon a legion of BEES!
I'm personally hoping for the Crystal demigod. That thing's pretty epic.
That could be fun. It might work better without creeps and bases though. The problem with creeps is that when you are trying to fight against one of the smaller demigods, say, Lord Erebus, it's hard to find him in a flood of creeps. It might work better if you just have a few spawn points, and have it basically be a slaughter game mode. It would make for a pretty quick game.
I could be mistaken, but I'm thinking that HS doesn't do full damage in the area of the entire targeting circle, does it? That could explain your second observation.
I do like the idea, but I think it would definately require an expansion. As I see it, you are actually suggesting adding eight new demigods . If there are 4 types of architect, that would require 4 new demigods for each side, would it not? Maybe I'm not quite getting what you're saying. 8 new demigods seems like it might be a little much, even for an expansion. I'd love to see 8 new DGs, but it seems like a lot of work. I honestly love the idea,
I have wondered that myself, but always forgot to post. It does seem a bit silly, doesn't it? I wouldn't think it would be too hard to fix.
I like the idea. Has some great potential, IMHO.
My question as well. I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Even so, it would be nice to be able to chose our own colors without having to do that. I don't think it would be too hard to implement, but I wouldn't know.
I haven't actually beaten the tournament yet, certainly not on hard, but I had an idea. If we actually beat the tournament on hard, or maybe even Nightmare, how about this: for the Demigod we win with, we unlock some sort of "God form" of that demigod, basically letting us enter in how much we want to multiply our damage? This would just be for fun, single player only of course, just to let us walk around and totally pwn everything in our path. Just a though
Wait a minute, Saturn... did you actually seriously say that it was possible that the Queen of Thorns might be a bit revealing? Did you honestly have a straight face while typing that? :D
My sound card is SoundMax Digital Audio. I presume that's what you're asking for?
I guess you mean to play online? If he's just going to be playing SP or LAN against you, you don't need a second copy. You can install one copy on more than 1 computer.
I like it. It would be really different from the other Demigods (not that many of them are cliche, by any means). I like the idea of having him as another two-form demigod as well. From your descrition, I think the Comedy form might shouldn't specialize in friendly buffs, but something more of morbid, sick, humor (IE, The Joker).
You can barely hear it and units smashing, tower bashing is to loud compare to the background music.
You do know you can adjust your volume levels, right? Just turn the other sounds down and leave music at a higher level, if you want to hear it.
Title basically says it all. Yes, I know, matches are usually fairly short, just 20-30 minutes long, but sometimes something comes up where you have to go away for a few hours or whatever, and don't have time to finish a game. It'd be really nice to have a save feature in the skirmish mode, and in the middle of tournament matches.
Even after release and the new patch, my sound in the menus still stutters, especially when choosing a Demigod. It basically sounds like a broken record. This problem is only in the menu screens for me, not in game. I've put my sound quality to low and turned the system reverb off and still no difference, so I don't think it's my sound card.
ok well, i finally finished one of the tournaments, and i guess it isnt any thinner on story than your average fighting game. so in a way i guess demigod is the street fighter of RTSes maybe.
I guess that's one way of looking at it. Even so (and I haven't played Street Fighter), a lot of fighting games at least have some cut scenes. I think a few cut scenes in between matches would add a lot to the game.
I just played round one of tournament as the Rook. I was in the beta, but I'm far from a gifted player, so I put it on Easy. Unfortunately, that is just WAY too easy. I got a ton of money pretty quick, and fairly soon I had the All-Father's Ring, and--eh, I can't remember the other artifact's name that I got. It was the one that would give you +20 PERCENT damage for 10 seconds. After I got those two, it took me about 5 hits to kill any Demigod. I forgot to
Personally, I think TBs jokes get old. "One popcicle, coming right up!" "How do you like your steak?!" Bleh.
When does it crackle? In-game, or in the menus? I never had it happen to me ingame, but when selecting a Demigod or just in the main menu, the sound would stutter. I posted this while the beta was going and never got one reply: someone saying he had the same problem, nothing from Stardock. I'm hoping it's fixed in the full version, but I don't know yet. I'm only at 75 percent download and I have to leave. Can't play till tomorrow.
