Unfortunately you can't see the chat going on during the game but in my opinion it was the best part. Shortly after the second structural transfer the other team noticed our citadel was dying and mentioned it. We then started accusing them of cheating/hacking/exploiting. They said it wasn't them and the game must have been bugged. Then they tried to help us fix it by suggesting that we upgrade it's health/regen. :) In the end we agreed the game was bugged and t

I find Exile and Leviathan too big for 3v3. Both of them are too big to have any sort of teammwork to be effective since it will take you 1-2 creep waves to switch lanes which is a lot of lost XP and 3 players means someone is on their own in a lane and the other two are paired up. On Cataract the third player can get between lanes without missing any waves if they time things right.

While I agree that the AI sucks and needs all the help it can get, I still do think this is a bug and for new players learning the game I think it's good to know that you can dodge the hammer. Otherwise in online play against players they won't even try, assuming that if they can't dodge the hammer against an AI then they also can't dodge the hammer against a human.

The AI rook never misses a hammer slam, even if you are far out of range. To reproduce this get the warp cloak favor item and wait for rook to hammer slam you. As soon as he brings the hammer up warp directly away from him the maximum possible distance. Notice that when the hammer lands you still take max damage, even though you are far out of range. If you go behind the rook he will miss though.

Since 5v5 games all but don't work (as stated by Frogboy) and 4v4 games rarely work (someone always DCs or can't connect) we are left with only 3v3 and 2v2. Unfortunately, there is only 1 2v2 map and 2 3v3 maps. To make matters worse, one of the 3v3 maps (Prison) is pure group deathmatch. There is no strategy, no lane pushing, etc. It's all about which team can out kill the other. This leaves us with Cataract as the only 3v3 map that anyone really plays.

Personally, I recommend custom games if you are looking for a challenge. Until they get the matchmaking system fixed up a bit (which they have stated is a high priority for them), fixed ranking to actually work and start matching you against players instead of AI Pantheon and Skirmish games are likely to be pretty boring, especially if you play at off-peak hours (ie: EU or Asia timezone). It means either a bug in the game or a hacker. This early on in the lifetime of the game a hacker seems unlikely. Also, people generaly don't create non-information hacks/cheats in games like this because of the desync it causes.

Same for me. The way the Impulse patching system works is that it checks all the files that are supposed to be there to make sure they are there. If they aren't, it re-downloads them and replaces the missing / corrupt ones. The problem of course is when it does this for folders other than the Demigod install folder. I actually organize my start menu so it's usable and every time I patch I have to delete the Demigod folder from my start menu.

units\Minions\HIghPriest\HighPriest03_Abilities.lua HighPriest03HeroHealHealingWindBuffl01 gives 30% health on heal but rank 4 only gives 22% and rank 2 gives 17%. Based on the pattern of Healing Wind and priest healing in general, it should have been 20%, not 30% (looks like a typo). The fix is very easy, just change the 0.30 on line 68 to 0.20.

Located the source of this bug: characters\Mage\MageFire_Character.lua does not have an AttackRangedMove AnimState. Also, there is not an appropriate animation for a fire mage to attack on the run in bindata\characters\Mage\Animations (would be Mage_RunAttackFire_anim.gr2). However, you can use the frost AttackRangedMove animation in MageFire_Character.lua which at least allows him to attack on the run (though it looks funky flipping between frost/fire animations like th

Almost everything was working great in the beta. Update today back to retail it seems and now the UI is back to being very laggy (sometimes goes unresponsive for significant lengths of time) and I'm experiencing crashes at the lobby, inability to connect to people, etc.

Regulus mines, betrayer, maim, wyrmskin handguards took me down to 2.6 movement speed (base of 6.0, unbuffed). This is in the current beta build (haven't tested non-beta), though this is the first I've encountered such slowness since before the game was released. This has happened several times before but I thought the connectivity update may help with it so I didn't post about it. However, running the latest beta build it just happened again.
