I think the op is referring to the last 2 updates, they have made the connection problems worse for a lot of people, including me. The game was working much better before. Still hoping they will get this fixed soon.
I curious about this problem as well, I've noticed it from time to time, the game will just lock and you have to ctrl-alt-delete out and kill the process, recently I find it just crashes now with a window that says "Demigod has stopped responding"
After the last 2 patches the connectivity problems have become much worse for me. Before it would connect to all the other users very quickly without any problems, other then the game crashing to desktop after a 3rd match or something. Now you get a 4 player match tops on pantheon and there always seems to be 1 person who can't connect, so you sit there for 5mins until everyone gets tired of it an leaves. It almost seems like a backwards transition, like I'm playing the game
