Sigh, tonights update still does nothing for me. I've tried being patient but it's going on a month here, and I've still yet to play 1 game. I'm not on some European DSL, im right here in America (admititly DSL).

This will be the beginning of week 3 for me with no change, and still have yet to join a single game outside of Gameranger. Fantastic.
I don't know, will you learn basic grammar and spell checks?
Just a thought, finished playing a game against a team with Sedna, and she did a good job healing the team, made it very difficult to get any kills. My conversation point is this: Once people have time to adjust to the game, and how teams work, what is the likelyhood that Sedna becomes "necessary" much the way Healers are necessary in WoW, or many MMO's. Or the possibility down the line that every team HAS to have Sedna to be competetive. Thoughts?
Brad.... I LOVE you. My God man. I'll take back any doubt I held last week that some of us were just going to be left hanging, and am so appreciative of all the work you guys are putting out to making the online matchup to this awesome game that just needs the right place to play it. Can't wait to see what you guys will do, and you have personally garunteed I'm buying any games you guys make in the future, all this support and communication is amazing.
I do get somewhat defensive about this, because as a legitimate game owner, right now it is my ONLY means of playing online with others. Do pirates use it? Sure, but I personally want all the legit players to know about it that can't currently play, so that I do have people to play with. If I didn't know about the service I wouldn't be able to play online at all, so it is a GREAT service to me that I found out about it.
I actually liked the story in Total Annihilation quite alot. Supreme Commander had a halfway decent story as well, but TA was admititly better.
Think this aught solve some problems for people who have had issues with P2P multiplayer?
From the pattern, I'm seeing that the majority of people having problems have DSL / ADSL, and for plenty of people (myself included) it is not a problem limited to Europe. Hopefully the fix Frogboy spoke of for them regarding DSL, will help some of us out as well.
No matter what type of game I play, Skirmish, Custom, Pantheon, I am consistently stuck as being one of the ones in the room that has not connected to anyone. I understand this makes me a "poison pill" player. I've opened all my ports and done all the procedures, I think my particular case is documented, and nothing has worked for me. I'm sort of hoping the changes you guys do in the next few weeks for Eupropean DSL users helps maybe some of us US DSL users that may be experiencing similar pr
I've tried that, did not work for me.
You seem to be like myself Luck, nothing I have tried ever works. This afternoon I tried to do something I had read online for Port Forwarding through 2 Routers, however that didn't work either. We don't understand why we can't connect, and unfortunatly I don't think any of the devs do either. Simple case seems to be that some people, inheirantly, despite any attempts or following the advice of the devs, will not be able to play the ga
2. This update does nothing for users who are behind a firewall or router that has ports locked. See http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345345 for tips in that area.
Thats about it, except for myself and others, that thread and those solutions just don't help.
No, but people like myself who have legit copies cant play legit people either.
SupCom, Empire Total War, WC3, Command & Conquer 3, Red Alert 3, Medieval 2, Rise of Nations, Rise of Legends, Rome Total War.... these are all games (not counting Steams FPS's) that work fine for me online.
Nevermind Monk, I just put in for a refund. I'm gonna wait a few monthes and see if this changes, by then I can probably buy it at work at discount (I work at Best Buy).
ISP is AT&T Monk, I wouldnt be surprised if P2P is filtered through them. Still, I've tried for 3 solid days to make this work, at some point its more hassle than the game is worth you know?
Did all that, so I'm guessing the problem is probably in my modem / ISP, and I don't think that can be altered.
Here is my current setup Monk, and it's what I'm trying to figure out, there are so many variables it's hard to understand whats going wrong where: My Computer Router 1 - Linksys NA041 | Router 2 - Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless G | Modem My problem is I've tried to follow PortForwards instrucitons on Forwarding through 2 routers. Apparently I F
So I followed all the instructions, opened those ports on my router, and the PortChecker still says they are closed. I'm led to believe one of a few things: 1. My router just will never work with this 2. My modem is possibly to blame, or my ISP In either case, for myself, and alot of people, looks like playing is not an option right now, or possibly forseeable future. Edit: Here
Yeah, and they are fixing the game for people who can connect, but people who can't? I'm still doubtful I'll be able to play at all.
Sounds about right, there is an amazing game here wrapped in unplayable multiplayer. I've been trying, all day, to play and got into a grand total of 1 game trying for 3 hours now. This is the first game, ever, I have had issues playing online.
Indeed, from what I've been able to play, this game is very fun, and it's amazing, but it could be the greatest game ever, if I can't play online then it's the biggest tease! I've been trying all day and only got into 1 game of Pantheon after constant trying. That one game was awesome.
I've been trying, literally all day, to play Pantheon and have only been able to get into 1 game. It would be easier to wait on a fix if the offline was good, but this is clearly a multiplayer game, which I'm ok with...... but I can't do it.
Is "MAIN.1.00.0091" the Day-Zero patch? If so I still end up sitting at "Attempting to Connect" for 20 minutes with no dice.
