From what I have been seeing, it happens when you switch game modes. If you play a bunch of single player skirmishes, they have held up for me. Once I switch to Pantheon or custom games, it seems to erase all acheivements. I haven't done a large amount of testing, but it seems like it is what is going on.

Although I can see where you are going with this, having him toss three mines at once is amazing. Against generals with a good amount of minions, one toss of mines + one other aoe from another demigod will completely decimate his entire army (and him, for that matter). Considering that they don't cost too much mana, I don't think it is a huge issue. I feel like the trade-off of only being able to cast 1-2 at a time would be a huge nerf to the skill even if it gave it a bit

Reply to Rage Quitters in Demigod

The only time that I have contemplated quitting was last night. I was given the following scenario: 3 Humans vs Me and 2 bots in the capture the flags mode. Not only does it suck having bots on your team, but they have no settings to change them from one mode to another, so they just like to go attack the enemy base instead of capture the flag...

The way it works, unless you are in the later levels, flat regen is a great first choice, and percentage based regen is a great second choice.

The only real way to tell if you are playing against humans is to hit tab and look at the pings and stuff in the scoreboard. If a ping is 0, it is typically a computer player.

This is not Blizzard, this is not Starcraft, this is not an RTS, this is not Warcraft...This is...DEMIGOD. A different game design to be that way. The strategies involving Rook is fine, if you are too noob to not be able to KS anyone with the hammer, then change your DEMIGOD or go play crappy and overdue DOTA... This entire post confuses me. Technically, this game is part RTS. It is an RTS/RPG. As to your comment about Rook, you basical

You know, it says a lot about Stardock that most people seem to forgive the problems with their multiplayer connections. I think the company is awesome and am happy I purchased both Sins of a Solar Empire and Demigod. I do hope, however, that these issues are resolved quickly and that they learn from this misstep in the future. It really doesn't take long for loving fans to turn into frustrated players! Best of luck on the fixes; I hope I can get some non-bot multipl

From what I have seen, the minions do attack on their own. Also, there is no pause built into the game that I have seen. As far as I can tell, single player and multiplayer were built identically; one just connects to other players. As such, there is no pause on either one. Edit: Really, F10 pauses the game in single player? Maybe I am blind, but I could have sworn that my skirmishes did not pause when I brought up the options!

Exactly...It is one thing to find a new use for something, but having to purchase and re-sell items in order to get their "intended effect" almost screams unintended! Take, for example, lurkers from starcraft. Blizzard originally built them as a defensive unit to stop incoming ground units. They were schocked when, after release, they watched a player overlord drop them onto an unsuspecting player's base. Nowhere in that scenario does an exploit appear. The p

This is the early game-mid game-late game scenario that is prevalent in DotA as well. Typically, non organized teams would all choose mid to late game heroes because they were the "uber damage dealing cool heroes". Any good players would choose a mixture. This way, their team could dominate early, push hard, dominate mid, and win the game before any of the late gamers could come into their own. If spell casting is your thing, I would suggest pushing your little hea

Have you tried Regulus's mines at all? I can honestly say I have never tried them, but they seem like they could be worthwhile if your enemy can't see them. Have you had any experiences with them?

Doggie, This definitely does seem like an exploit, doesn't it? Notice how there are 4 levels of idols and 4 levels of summons. Each time you put a point in the skill, your current minions upgrade. They don't just stay the same, allowing you to summon new ones. Technically, if you farmed up a lot of gold as Sedna, you could have: 4 Yetis 8 Archers 8 Minotaurs 8 Priests Don't you feel l

I use typically the same build, but I tend to purchase the armor that gives life and HP regen first with one of the mana regen helms. This gives you some extra cushion in case you get attacked and allows you to heal up slowly while you make the enemy run. Since it is only a small amount of gold, you're not hurting yourself much at all in terms of future items. One thing I always wonder about is the bottom skill line. Each point gives a modest bonus, and you can reall

I find some of your remarks to be very true. The one that I take particular issue to is the reason for wanting to level up higher. Do you think you should be surprised that 4-5 of the enemies teleported to the fort to protect it? Where were your allies? Maybe you just didn't mention this, but if you were *that* powerful, why did you not just bring your allies with you to fight? As is usually the case, teamwork > individual strength...

AoS is pretty much the grand-daddy of all games of this style. It stands for Aeon of Strife. If memory serves, it originated in Starcraft and was more focused on pushing than leveling up, which is somewhat counter to DotA. DotA has no base upgrades that are purchaseable. Demigod seems to merge these very well, giving you the option to forego your own strength for the strength of the team or vice versa. It adds a very dynamic style of gameplay...Do I want

I haven't really been able to connect to the online servers yet (Combination of late hours at the office, time with the wife, and a little server instability). I have one question for those of you playing Pantheon, which I intend to play this evening. What game speed do Pantheon games play at? I have just been playing normal, and I don't want to be in for a big surprise if I jump into one and find it is in fast mode. Thanks!

On the up side, the Pantheons won't last too long, it doesn't look like. Darkness is currently 20% complete, and Light is currently 16% complete.

Since someone mentioned WoW, I'll mention the game mode that I liked the most. Arathi Basin: It was essentially a king of the hill with 5 nodes, for those that didn't play. Each node sped the rate at which you gained resources (2000 to win) at a small, but significant amount. So, if you took 4 of them, the enemy could still come back if they managed to make a massive comeback. However, if you took all 5, instead of gaining resources at a rate of roughl
