Instead of arguing with you I'll just show you a 0.0 alliance's killboard. RAZOR, not the largest, but its up there in terms of power. http://www.eve-razor.com/killboard/?a=home See how many Rokhs you can find in the killmails (both kills and losses) compared to how many Apocalypses and Megathrons. (Megathrons were the standard before the Apoc's latest buff). Any serious alliance's killboards will

Well, the low mods you will need to use to compensate the armor resists can be used for damage mods in the Rokh, so I keep failing to see why it's "far supperior" (except in very laggy situations, where Amar are better than anything else in general). 3 heatsinks is the upper limit of effectiveness for how many damage mods you stack. After those the Rokh needs fitting mods to fit the rest of its tank etc. Amarr battleships can also fit 3 heatsinks...while h
Ice: your race/background has literally zero impact on your eventual character. Only one thing matters, your attributes, they control how fast you can train a given skill. For combat related characters go for extremely high perception/willpower, for trade/industry, intelligence and memory. Best/fastest race/bloodline for combat is Achura, with a whopping low 3 points in charisma (dump stat). Even though its caldari you can then specialize in any race's ships you want. Amarr/Khanid is
Vicente: lasers get a built in damage bonus compared to other turrets with comparable range. Especially tachyons, which are the only "oversized" turret in the game. So in a sense, the cap use bonus is actually a damage bonus for all amarr ships.
I've been playing for a very long time (since 2004) and in this case the mob is in fact right. As it stands now I'd rather go PVP in a Torp fitted Typhoon (better dps and better tank) than a Tempest. Seriously, it has nothing going for it. It has worse DPS on top of a worse tank, one extra mid isn't going to compensate for the fact that it's the only armor tanking battleship without 7 or more lowslots. And its slight bit of extra agility and speed isn't going to save it from getting insta-gan
Annatar, 2 words: Mega Pulse II no other "short range" turret can reach up to 50-60 km. Cruiser sized Pulses are similarly overpowered. On Zealots I can make focused med pulses go 30km. Believe it or not, the game isn't about raw dps, Amarr have the best combination of solid buffer tanks, good dps, and excellent range for small to med gang PVP, while also having some of the best fleet ships in the game. Only area in which they lack is solo PVP (al
Rokhs are far more better fleet snippers than Abaddons. An Abaddon has a hard time to reach 200km and be DD tanked while a Rokh can handle both things pretty easily.
if getting to 200km with DD tank is the issue then the apoc is far better than the rokh. Also 200km isn't the "must have" range for fleet sniping anymore as it was when every ship could hit 250km with skills and rigs. Nowadays 150-180 is plenty.
What race would you recommend for someone that eventually want to pilot larger ships and possibly get into larger fleet pvp? Gallente or Minmatar, mainly. Minmatar ships are very fast and agile which is great for their frigates and interceptors, and they have one of the best fleet ships (Tempest). Gallente have another really good fleet ship in the Megathron, and are very versatile with Drones as well. Really though, you ca
currently this would be having 3x+ reguluses on a single team on teamspeak coordinating snipes ^.^ But once they balance out that cheeze it'll prolly be something like a tb/rook freeze hammer slam combo or similar. Basically any stun/nuke combo == ganking in demigod. However unlike many games we also have a defence or two in the form of QOT's barrier and the Oak's shield spells. (Among others).
System Shock II was better than Bioshock. Or better to say, Bioshock was a completely dumbed down version of System Shock II and/or Deus Ex. [e digicons][/e]
1. Jack Vance (prolly over 40 books written, all very good) 2. RA Heinlein (minus everything after stranger in a strange land) 3. (too many really list here, people above me covered my #3's fairly well)
1. AFAIK there's a few overpowered heroes in DOTA that everyone plays and the rest get largely ignored. In Demigod the aim is to make every demigod competetive and unique instead of having a dozen variations on the same hero. (They've succeeded here, however imho the game still needs some balancing.) 2. Items in Demigod need some reworking/rebalancing but everyone including the devs knows that. Depth in Demigod is skills, items, favor items, general minion idols. 3. who told y
when you have only 1 unit to micromanage attack move isn't such a big deal I almost always micro my demi to make sure he's always doing what I want. As far as minions auto-attacking stuff, do you really want minions attacking the regulus when he's sitting under some towers?
before this build it was a 1 point wonder to get an easy teleport location in enemy territory and that was pretty cool (still is). I'd rather see a few more powerful towers than a whole bunch of spam, its a bit of a pain to keep recasting.
ditto. Its as easy as right-clicking where you want to go or what you want to attack. Click an item or skill and click where to target. Everything else is just spending a little time bullying AI's to figure out what skill does what.
Okay, I don't have the newest rig on the block, but I just played a 3v3 with 5 AI's on the Brothers map. I got up to more than a Gig of Mem usage and 95% CPU (I have an Athlon X2 2.7 Ghz, 2 gigs of RAM and an 8800 GTS). This is not supcom, there probably wasn't more than 200 units on the map at any given time, and I can handle 2v2 battles in SupCom easily (which should be more CPU intensive).
I get this when playing a larger map or lategame in a small map. Just a performance issue, but it would be nice if the slowdown didn't affect the music.
Every now and then I get a bug where the damage numbers that pop up over the enemies' and my demigod's head don't disseapear, this eventually fills the screen with solid blocks of numbers. Also the "Rampaging, Smiter, etc. etc. messages don't disseapear as well. Rolling over an item in the store can clear this and cause proper redrawing of messages.
I work all weekend and can't play anyway. I think GPG knew this and have decided to wait on the patch until a time most convient for me. This is really considerate of them to go above and beyond just for me.
Obviously you didn't get the memo that this is a _beta_. Its not supposed to be convinient. or fun. or anything.
I've had this happen recently with the demigod I was controlling, I couldn't move or do anything till I died. I'll try to get more details next time.
Have an AI take over for the leaving player, that lets you have the satisfaction of crushing the citadel or whatnot without totally ruining the game.
