Well the game transfers information to other players through UDP, but communicates with the NAT server with TCP. Why its happening, who knows. I just look at hundreds of thousands of neon lines to find some common occurance. EDIT: Should just mention this is purely speculation ya know, could be utter coincidence that this always occurs with attempts to transfer data to stardock. EDIT2: As far as i am aware (And any network savvy person feel free to con

they originally said they were inspired by a lot aos games which most known iteration is dota, plus Battlefield 2 and Footmen Frenzy and a lot other fun maps. So where is the Demigod vs Footmen Frenzy thread? Maybe I should make it ...
ohh ... then well . dota was a mod based on wc3 ... demigod which had its basics and inspiration coming from dota ... so well but yeah , graphics is everything in games .... we all know that .
Most other AoS have a lot more in common with Demigod than dota...
ehm you get the xp and money (unless this was changed very recently), Last hit trumps range limitation.
it starts to go down to 1 or 0, and often desyncs occur as a result.
low sim speed and desyncs are totally unrelated and as long as the sim speed isn't below zero it doesn't affect the game at all if you play on normal gamespeed.
Yah be nice to each other! Its good for the heart and makes you feel like sunshine. I don't really know what you can give for incentives to make people behave nicer here though, maybe you could introduce a option to rate posts and give users an option to only show not bad rated posts/topics, kinda like youtube does it.
Demigods Balance Main Focus is on team games not 1vs1.
I'd have no problem running your external application, but then I do know you while many others here might not. PS: we could have riff check it for malicious code :P
I totally agree that people should always be nice to each other ;) Pro Tip : if you are a experienced player and notice someone is new, give him advices / order him around during the whole game, I've seen my brother win vs 3 experienced players when he played with 2 guys who just had the game for 1-2 days because he wrote non-stop and made sure they stay alive - It only worked because the 2 guys were smart enough to do what he said though ;)
No, but do that and give me a knife...
I'll do. @Topic, you should ask Plantgirl/Cat about it, she often hangs out on IRC. Concerning the Name, what about "Les garçons avec une saint écureuil
I could have my gender changed if I eat a lot of X chromosoms and then I could join right? PS: @Kitkun I always can just devoice you @Demigod-Live and set +m ;
first UB ooze build competitive player , or maybe sedna yeti zerg lol
I played both and if you do it correctly it is very strong - in some matchups... so laugh all you want it :D
not true. u only need 1 or 2 specific skills for any char. rook - towers \ stats, vamp bite \ bats, ub - venom \ passives etc... . this game is very build limited and u simply dont have any other options if u want 2 win.
thats plain wrong, there is almost no skill which is useless at all. It always depends on the situation, your allies, the enemy team, the map etc. ; Try using venom spit vs a team with sedna on Prison lol...
Life's Child has : BuffType = 'HSEDNAINNERGRACE' so it replaces the inner grace buff...
Annatar, why isn't what you describe happening with starcraft/warcraft III on a large scale then? maybe because you don't just give your password to random strangers? Maybe because it can be tracked that the profiles are used from different IPs / ISPs / geographic locations. Maybe because most people don't want to only be able to play when their friend is not playing... Seriously having different accounts for 1 Cd-key with the restriction to be only online with 1 at the same time is n
don't think it really could be abused - only one of those accounts would be allowed online at the same time and when you share the account with guys from all over the world they notice that anyways, be that your impulse account or the proposed profile tied to a master account.
no Spooky, that would only be true if you want to play simultaneously. Would you and your fiancée buy the same book twice just to be able to read it one after another? I had the same problem with supreme commander, before we (my bro and me) bought a 2nd computer which could run it - we just shared the account though as we didn't care about stats. As much as I like that smurfing is impossible with the 1 account per key system I hate this backdraw. The Perfect Solution in my opinion woul
well then she can be proud of her accomplishment , and i wish her all the luck , but i would be ashamed to call myself the "best girl team" in the world if i got beaten by hundreds of male teams . its still no excuse of not being better then males just because your a girl , statistically if you would put a lot of red balls in a bowl and just some blue balls , theyre would be more red balls coming out if you picked a hundred. <br /
you have no clue how statistics work then :P If you have a lot of female players you end up with just as good female players as male players, there is a reason Tossgirl can beat every non-korean player (yet is not as good as the top korean pro's because there is a lot more korean male players still)
pro clan indeed , top "girl" clan in the world was in top 100 of the swedish ordinary clans ..
thats a purely statistical thing, as the majority of players is still male you can't expect a all female clan to be nearly as good, not because they are not just as good as male players in average, just because the probabilty that you find 5 top players in a sample of N is a lot lower than finding 5 top players in a sample of 80*N.
the entitlement generation at its best.
ad hominem attacks aren't cool and you all should stop to insult people who are frustrated of a game they spent money for and which is great fun when its work yet you are unable to actually play it. The arrogant attitude of so many people posting here annoys me. And Skala the average Demigod match takes 20 to 30 minutes not 90
We are planning for an option where players can block problem users so that they won't be automatched with them.
"Dodgelist"? Seriously block chat and maybe don't let those users be on your team (in skirmish) but completely blocking them from being automatched will create so much abuse. In the beginning GPGnet showed the name of your opponent a few seconds before the match started. Guess What happened? People dodged a lot. Even the #1 player at this time did it.
Skype has the superior audio quality imo, so you should use neither TS or Vent ;)
I'd really like to have Universal Gadgets being able to remove a cap lock.
just lock the flag yourself before or stand nearby til the shield wears off.
