I'm calling bullshit on that number. 1400 players and only 24 games going.... yea right.

Yes because Im the one person with connectivity issues. Get real.
I bought this game when it first came out and noticed that the connectivity issues were making it basically unplayable. I did all the various little tweaks to my router, my connection settings, my firewall settings. Still the amount of time it takes to find a game is best described as ridiculous. I understand that the developers made the monumentally stupid decision to make this a P2P game rather than hosting servers but I was hoping after several months they would have remedied the situation
double post my bad.
Been playing LOL and HON quite a bit lately and I have to admit that the game play is better than DG IMO. Demigod is fun and has been fun from release when it actually worked. However the biggest mistake they made was not haivng an open beta to flesh out all the major connection issues. They really screwed the pooch on release and it doomed their product. Even with a sucessful expansion, DG is irreparably damaged.
not to be a downer but I don't like the fact that you are sidestepping inproper testing by pointing at MS for their shortcommings in the OS. The reality is that the functionality doesn't exist in the OS and that it never has. Knowing that, proper testing of MP would have saved you all the lost good will.
lol i doubt it was on purpose.
Yeah it sucks that they dont work correctly during tournament play.
I just want to say first off that I am glad you guys are on top of improving the MP aspect. I like the SP a lot but I am getting tired of the bots. I have a couple of ideas 1) Try taking a lead from Steam and allow players to set up dedicated servers. 2) Then, based on reliability, and certain other standards, mark certain servers as officially sanctioned for tournament use. Players should be able to register their servers to you guys as official tournament sanctioned
[quote who="Tekkor" reply="7" id="2153660"] Quoting Deepjay, reply 6This game has legitimate issues. We have paid money for this product. Our complaints are valid and justified. Just to bring up the other side of it though lol.... I do agree with the OP in that the amount of the repeat threads is getting to the point of aggravation. The head guy of Stardock has been posting updates every day telling everyone what they are doing and the steps
Why can't they just handle servers the same way steam handles them? Or even like battle.net? It seems like they did a really bad job of sufficient testing for the MP side of the game.
You're running out of ideas because it's not your fault. They need to fix the game.
I'd pre-order if I knew more about the game. The web site is slightly vague.
