The main reason is bat swarm. A UB and a sedna can kill him (foul grasp followed by silence) as can a DA with shadow swap (though he would probably require team support). Pretty much always takes good teamwork to kill an erebus
You can play with US players, and aussie players so all hope is not lost

Premade vs premad PUG vs PUG That is the ideal situation if you'd ask me. Its not fun being stomped when no one on your team will work as a team etc. I'm not anti-premade though. On the rare occasion I have friends to play with I don't really mind versing a premade. Sometimes though I will see multiple half full lobbies and I will join and see if they are premades, and tell the waiting premade team that there is another premade in a differnt lobby

I think MP is entertaining and engaging whereas SP is more relaxing and has opportunities to be fufilling in other ways e.g. from a storytelling perspective. The AI can never entertain me for more than a few skirmish matches except in turn based games which is possibly the one instance where the single player side is superior to multiplayer - and thats just a matter of convenience, if I can organise it I like to play civ4 with a couple of friends. the problem with having a single super summon is that it benefits less from items which are for instance +10 minion damage which erebus and oak can take huge benefit from. What would be nice is some items that are x% based since that scales just as well with minions that are few in number but high in stats

Reg's snipe is good.... comparing its raw damage stats ignores its massive range advantage. Its not DPS its support and utility e.g. get a demigod that would have gotten away, snipe a DG chasing a friendly to get themt o back off etc. QOT is sedna without an interupt, and without awesome priest buffing, and basically with no late mid and late game power.
The latest screeenies look so dark and gloomy. Is that standard or did you at SD just pick dark and gloomy ones for some reason.
Late game sedna is very good at getting/keeping portals. If you need to relock a portal your enemy are camping you just silence before casting lock = guaranteed success and likewise if your enemy is trying to relock a portal you have silence to delay it a sec (and I think it will interupt) and pounce as another interupt.
Its resonable for PUGs to not want to play a premade. Take a dose of your own medicine and seek out other premades to fight
