that would be incorrect. the problem is that it seems that it uninstalled the beta (k) version of objectdock for most of us that run vista64 and in that beta systray worked fine. the "update" removed this version and now none of the beta versions are on the servers for us to get back. *note: did the above to see and nope still a broken systray in vista64(weather works now though)
okay this is getting annoying, I'm running vist64 with OD+ and for a while systray and weather and everything worked. Now it seems that the weather docklet has stoped functioning and there arent any betas for OD+. Why doe it seem that everytime I go to bed i wake up with one more part of this software taking a step backwards adn ceasing to function. And btw support is mostly useless for this product, they've got the "well if you cant download it there isn't a fix" attitude. So
the same happened for my the [k] beta had working systray in vista ultimate 64. a few days ago the systray just stopped working. i'd love if K could be posted again so i can fix this and archive it.
i run vista x64 ultimate and the previous version of objectdock(the beta mentioned above) worked great, then one day object dock was different and my systray no longer functioned. i did a repair and now i dont see beta versions.. what happened to beta k is there any way i can get this again since it worked great?
to be fair stardock support is completely useless.. I was having the same problem with objectdock plus 1.90 as well i tried updates i tried beta versions(the last of which was done about 4 months ago) i had an issue where it wouldnt show systray or show my docks on multile virutal terminals. (running bblean) i sent numerous requests to support and i got NO responses, i sent one to sale and they said i'd need to go through tech supprot i said sure and that was the last i heard of
nope it's an issue (seemingly) of there being a change betwen how OD+ grabs the systray info. in 1.5 it uses the SDMCP to grab it in 1.9 it's built in and requires that the shell be explorer.exe to pull the systray info(i think) as well as not recognizing the multi v-desks. My accounts are all admin.
actually I did some testing and it appears that there was a change from 1.5-> 1.9 that somehow "broke" it. In version 1.5 the docks move across my multiple virtual desks AND the systray functions with the help of SDMCP.exe, however in 1.9 it doesnt move across the v-desktops (staying only on the main one) and the systray is non existent(both with and without sdmcp). What I would love is if someone can provide me with a 1.6 OD+ at I can try(as my reg key worked fine for 1.5+ ) so i can test is T
so I finally got around to purchasing OD+ 1.9.. all the features are what i want that rklauncher rocketdock etc cant give me. HOWEVER I am a tad pissed that i simply cannot display the systray on my non-tabbed dock.
