Hi RomanDA, I'm gonna continue to pursue this in a separate thread specifically about the issue, i don't want to be taking away from this thread about tutorials etc... It could go on and on and that would be better happening in a separate thread. Thanks for your input so far though, ill see what else i can root up about it... Keep up the good work man! Ro PS: Have a look at the following thread about it, it has am image that i posted that might make things

To get back to my post about that flipping right click menu, i have used the application RightClick extensively in the past year but i have uninstalled it since getting stuck into DesktopX, so i am aware of the possibility that i could re-install it and use it in this instance, but im beginning to think that its a bigger issue than just the menu itself at this stage. What im thinking is: I'm probably not the only one that doesn't like the standard menu and would like to change

Heres a couple of links to websites that have gathered together the best there is in free programs on the wwweb. You should be able to find anything you need with these websites. I must confess that in the past i have used a lot of pirated software, the likes of Adobe, Macromedia, Microsoft etc... but i have now got a piracy free machine with all the programs i will ever need, for free. And since finding these websites i dont see any reason why i ould ever use pirated software again in the fu

Hey RomanDA, thank you for offering to help out with this! So far your ideas look great... I have one request, and you have already replied somewhat in a separate thread about it, its the standard rightclick context menu in DX, when you click on the desktop an annoying menu comes up with Favourites, Programs etc... on it and i would love to be able to turn that off altogether or modify it in some way. Having said all this, its probably up to the developers of DX to do something like t

@ Zubaz: Its a DX theme im working on myself, my first one ever, which i now realise i have accidentally revealed to the world Ah well... Its in its early stages, any first impressions? Also i now realise that i didn't specify very clearly that i was using a DX desktop as opposed to the standard Windows desktop, duh to me! Ro

I'm talking about the standard menu that pops up when you right click on the desktop, away from any objects etc... Heres a screenshot: On the left you will see the context menu that i am talking about. I have clicked in the dark blue area of the screen just at the top left corner of the menu, which is away from all objects. That is the menu that i don't like. I was wondering

I'm talking about the standard menu that pops up when you right click on the desktop, away from any objects etc... I really don't like the menu and from what I've read in another post, the ability to get rid of it no longer exists so I'm wondering if its possible to customize it at all? Its really bugging me, it takes away from the themes i think... Ta. Ronan

Wow, i think its safe to say that some of them predictions could now be re-classified under the heading of "Monstrous Understatements of the Decade"... Isnt it amazing how some people had a fairly accurate vision of the future of the Internet, while at the same time understated it so much that its almost ridiculous... I especially like the one "Porn on the Internet. Who gets to decide this one?". The naivety of it all <img src="

Goodness me, i think you are being a bit hard on yourselves... Im not in business or anything like that but i can understand how it makes sense to look back on your previous year for improvements to be made in the next as someone mentioned above. However i thought that you were being a bit hard on yourselves in terms of the support users get. OK you feel that they dont get it directly from you guys sometimes, but just look at the

Its an unfortunate situation that occurs, when a user phones for support for a product or whatever and is actually surprised and relieved to find themselves speaking to a native english speaker, dont get me wrong, ethnic diversity is great and all that but there is not very many things that are more annoying than trying to get good support form someone with bad english, it just is a heartbreak most of the time. Im all for people from other countries h

Yeah i think maybe its a simple as that, i suppose i feel that the eagerly awaited release of OD 2007 isnt such a big deal for existing users, and indeed even if there wasnt an OD 2007 release we ould still have been privy to newly updated products anyway, as we have been at any stage up to now... If i remember correctly there was no big launch of "OD 2006" or "OD 2005" as such, but i (and other subscribers alike) was none the wiser and i re

Yeah its a bit confusing, it would be straight forward if OD 2007 was an actual program that you downloaded and installed. It just seems that existing users dont benefit from the big announcement if they were planning to renew anyway, at least thats how it seems. Im sure someone will clarify anyway. Im actually not annoyed or anything, i was just curious about it all in case i was missing out on something, im a big fan of Stardock etc... a
