Hello all... Scenario: To replace my standard Windows taskbar I simply have a dock at the bottom of the screen that shows running tasks. To replace the system tray I have another dock on the bottom right of the screen that shows the system tray icons. Issue: Regarding the OD+ replaced system tray, when the small yellow Windows Update shield appears in the system tray it prompts me to click on it to install updates. When i do the icon simply disappears and nothing else

My hero is my son Harry. He was born 3 months premature on October 4th last year. He weighed less than a bag of sugar when he was born and spent almost 3 months in intensive care. For someone so small and helpless he was so strong and fought and fought against so much illness and kept fighting no matter what happened and eventually came home from hospital on December 28th after 85 days. Now he is a few days short of being 7 months old and he is growing fast into a beautiful, bright, lov

Does this finally mean we will at last have a way of replacing state changing system tray icons (power, volume, network, AV etc...) with fancy shiny new icons that change state too? Please say it does, ive been looking for that for about 2 years and made numerous threads about it, hopefully my badgering has paid off! Ronan

I am SO excited about the new system tray icons. For the last couple of years i have been looking for a way to have "special icons" for volume and power and any other icons that change state. I have made many posts about it so hopefully that contributed to it coming into being! Bring it on... Ronan

Hmmm... In your downloadable example, when you resize, the top left corner of the main graphic stays static and it resizes out in the other three directions, but when i tried my own example, when you resize, it resizes out from the top left hand corner also, which doesnt look as cool. Ive compared the two as closely as i can and i cant see why this is happening, anyone know why perhaps? They are not in the same group. This is a deadly script by the way! What's the deal with all the Irish beer drinking stereotypes. I'm Irish, and I've never drank an ounce of beer in my life. I'm Irish too and i reckon there wont be many people eating corned beef and cabbage either, don't get me wrong, there will be some, but i wouldn't call it a staunchly followed tradition on Paddys Day lets just say! This wee competition sounds good though, and thanks to WC for acknowledging it for all us Irish people on WC.

Yes thats very true, nothing more annoying than a hosted file that is no longer hosted! Anyway the version i made is in the DX Objects gallery now so ya can have a look if you are interested, and i must say im chuffed to see my first proper contribution to WC live for all the world to see. I think I've caught the bug... Simple Flash Player Once again, thanks for the wise words... Ro

Thanks Zubaz, ill give that a shot an see what happens. Actually since i started this thread i found a widget that plays .SWF files and modified it to my needs and it works great. I think it uses the Web Control or something like that? The .SWF file isnt embedded via the Custom Files though, its just called from the script so it loads automatically and it can be changed in the script to point to a web based .SWF or a local one. I have uploaded the new file to WC so it will ta

I have a Flash movie that i want to bring into a DX theme im working on. I don't want to just have a shortcut to the file though. I would like to be able to display the movie in the top right hand corner of the screen, and obviously it would need to be functional too, as in i would need to be able to use the movie as if it were on a website etc... I was reading a thread which touched on this but it was really about another issue so i thought i would create a separate thread for it.<br

In conjunction with a DesktopX theme i am working on, i need to be able to upload a RightClick theme to match it. I was wondering how this was done, as in, what do i need to do in RightClick to prepare it for being uploaded to WinCustomize? There seems to be only very limited options within the program, and no obvious ones that would help towards creating a theme... Any sharing of knowledge on this would be great, thanks. Ronan H

The right click menu in question loads automatically under the following conditions you have a DX theme loaded and you have the standard windows desktop icons disabled(not visible). Is this disabled via DTX or via standard right click, uncheck show desktop icons? Flick into DX Builder mode, right click system tray icon, click on "Configure DesktopX Builder", click the "Desktop" tab and on that screen you should have check boxes to

@ Zubaz: Thats true, i hadn't thought of that, probably due to my nooooobiness at DX . I suppose in the grander scheme of things its hardly the biggest deal in the world, but i am very particular about small details so it was bugging me a wee bit... As suggested by RomanDA, i might try and load up RightClick again and see if that overrides the default DX menu that appears when the user right

@ thomassen: Im beginning think that some other people dont get that menu popping up either because a few people seem to have no clue what i was talking about (i brought it up in another thread also)... Hmmm...this is a bit strange... It happens for me whether i am in Builder or Client mode... I must look into that further... R
