I'm getting the idea that GG will slowly die off having accomplished nothing, and the gaming world will happily keep turning.
Yup. It seems to be a big surprise to many that their reviewers are corrupted though. And that's probably the only good thing to come from gamersgate - an increased awareness that the world is shit. /sulk

Spells that summon a monster lair, a demon gate, a breach in the ground, whatever. Monsters come forth and attack the SK and maybe the player too. Ex: Call of the Serpent King. An ancient temple is unearthed, spewing forth deadly serpents until destroyed. Ex: The Crystal Forest. A piece of forest is transformed into deadly, living shardlike entities. Ex: The Bound Dragon. A dragon is summoned and bound to protect a piece of land. The dragon will attack near

It straight up needs to have something to do with quests. Even if it costs 500 mana, I'm just going to be hoarding mana the entire game until I get it. Cast it twice/thrice, get another 100 turns. Even if it literally destroys a shard I'm still going to use it, because another 10 turns with less mana income still means I get more income than if doomsday arrived. At the very edge of doomsday, there is no price that isn't too high - sacrifice a city, lose half my spells...

So, thanks to Snowden and others we now have a rough understanding of how deep the rot goes. Every US company of significance can be squeezed, and has embedded employees. US companies are brought into line not only through corruption and disloyalty, but using official bribes of cash and technology insight. Threats of going public are met with injunctions from the secret courts. All this is true. What we're seeing now is the next step in the machinery. Everybody knows that the thre

I posted about this earlier in another thread. The purpose of this "debate" is to give the illusion that your data is safe with the big giants (Google/Apple). It's not. It's a PR move that was to be expected after the backlash against US tech industry.
I hope Stardock goes in the direct of Endless Legend with their different regions of terrain. I love the visually distinct ice regions in the north and south, along with varied deserts, plains, forest regions, etc. I can't think of another 4x game that has handled terrain in such a beautiful manner.
Amen to that.

That's how it's been before, with other elemental games. The XML is included in its entirety in the save game. If you can decode the save game you may be able to make progress, but noone has so far.

My radiators wouldn't fit inside of that. A tower you can easily fit a 420 and a 280 front/top. The bend on the front slots makes it look like you couldn't even fit a single 280 in there. And yet it takes up the same floorspace as a tower would. In fact, there are only 4 140mm fan locations, none of which blow directly into the gpus. How the hell are you going to run 3 strong cards without watercooling and such limited air supply? They're using 2 of the 140mm slots just to

Yeah, I like the occasional gamble but predictability has its own benefits as well. If I select a unit and I mostly get a bunch of stupid crap happening I'm going to stop thinking of it as a reward. Similarly, if the randomness is too great I would feel like it doesn't matter what I select anyway.

... now I'm just confused. The joke going around is that every other windows released is horrible. Win 95, ME, Vista, 8. If they're skipping a number, does that mean they skipped the good one? [e digicons]>_>[/e]
