Not to drill this to death, but I play with the same three people and we all have the same problem as listed above. We have tried the methods listed and we can't get it to work. And it is not just for entrenchment, it is for the normal sins as well. And this all started after the final release of entrenchment. We have all completed the latest updates, and are still at a loss. Is there something that we are missing?

It is an interesting idea. The question is more of an in game cost of such an item. And then you have to look at how long this game already take to play. I enjoy a long game, but adding such a feature you add even time spent on just destroying defeces before you even get to trying to take over the planet. I think that if you add such an option to the research options in the game it would be a great advanatage. It would then be like choosing between torrets or hanger defence.
Yes. It is the best and easiest way to do it. As long as you have an accout through stardock/ impluse you will have no problem.
