I thought "Newb" was the insulting one? Mostly because i never see it used. and "Noob" was the beginner player one. And if all Tinkers are Zonkers are all Zonkers, whatsits?ultimately it doesn't matter, Noob/newb/douchemonkey are used as descriptors by some and as insults by others and ultimately it depends on the context of the rest of the sentence.
Ultimately, you're a douchetastic nublet.

Great way of starting there, calling someone an idiot is hardily constructive is it.
You started with calling me whiney...
And was he mistaken?
Well, not what you were asking, exactly, but I certainly wasn't. ;)
How about we stop worrying about it and trust GPG to make an awesome game? They worked with the best SupCom players in a private beta to perfect the FA balance. GPG knows what they're doing, have some faith.
I have faith in GPG...that's not my worry...
Blue_Sun: You're an idiot. If Demigod is made to be a strong competitive game, it will gain the following it needs to be popular. You can't defend them catering to the whims of noobs. They're called noobs for a reason. They're shit at the game. Their opinions don't count for much when it comes to balance, period. I don't care if you try to claim the superiority of numbers. If GPG/SD have any artistic integrity at all, they'll know better than to listen to them. As for the OP...this is
For the record, you could rewind, fast forward, jump ahead, etc. with the TA Demo Recorder. It was a bit buggy, and reclaimables didn't rewind or fast forward, properly, but it was workable...granted, the filesizes were fairly huge, but its not "impossible" to do...esp. considering TADR came out nearly 10 years ago.
RA3 is *gasp* actually not too bad.
Yeah, except for the part where it's shit...yes, I've actually played it and yes, I really found it that bad. I gave my key away to mephi without hesitation when he asked.
So then if you don't see the advantage if you know the demigod being used, why insist on that "advantage" being there? As I told you in IRC, that "inconsistency" is caused by me thinking in SupCom terms, where all players can see the faction chosen in the battleroom. As you mentioned, they could easily make it were you don't see what demigod is selected in a custom match.
Basically, the way I see it is this: in custom games, where you choose your demigod before hand, obviously the person going to random is going to know what the other people are, because he saw it in the battleroom before hand. For the others to not know the random faction until the random is scouted, makes sense. For ranked, the idea that one person can see a demigod and the other can't, before either one has been scouted. I hated everything about the scoreboard in supcom, because it s
In the SupCom and FA betas, most of the balance feedback was done via forums, and bugs would be posted both on the forums and submitted via GPGnet. As GPGnet is not being used, I don't know if impulse has some kind of similar mechanism, or if everything is going to be done via forums.
Will be down for the beta here, Here's to hoping to see TAG and SCL top of the lists from day 1. Also, hallo thar Tyo. Great to see Devs commenting on random forum threads. : )
Cmon now...TAG and SCL being on top from day 1 is a given...TAG more so than SCL :P
I'll most likely play whatever Demigod is the fastest/most aggressive.
I know this is primarily about the art and look of the UI, but I was wondering if you could tell us anything about the responsiveness of the UI? SupCom's UI (especially FA) was pretty great in what it allowed you to do easily, but really lacked when it came do doing it quickly. If your APM got going, you would often times find entire clicks not being registered, or orders you give not being issued immediately, and would get frustrating in an intense game. As Demigod seems like it will
