Well, it's a pre-order and you don't have the final software so I don't think it's "uber nice" to offer a refund. Go to GameStop, preorder and cancel. You get your money back. I've worked with other companies that give full refunds even if you're in beta. Oh well, I'm sure the close hammer will hit this one too. Sorry you didn't search before you bought, it's an issue with most of their releases.

You lose like 15%, I did that during beta 1 and got slapped with like 20 bucks less then I paid due to ordering the CE. They consider the beta the finished product. It's bs and the rules don't really state it, but I think they amended it lately to be more clear. There was a huge post on this awhile back.

Actually Frog messaged me a question and never responded neither did customer service? I've been waiting quietly and politely writing frog a few times a month to ask for an answer. But you're right who cares, guess the for the gamer shit was a total lie, ignore problems more like kids. I like Kyro, he was helpful, but you were the only one. And it really was just shut down and ignored. Not only that but they amended the order site so obviously it was an issue with more than just us.

College freshman and sophmore years are basically reviews from high school. I'd gladly have gone to college after sophmore year. And going to private school just made college more annoying. EA has been buying more lately, and they're not going to just get taken over. They are a brand name and a corner stone of the industry. I don't see them rolling over. That said I don't like them all that much.

At this point keep my money, I don't even care anymore, no one is handling this correctly. As for someone who has worked in customer service for a long time, yours is poor. Your stance was unclear and not shown to others correctly. I've uninstalled Impulse and just gave up. This has been obscene and taken too long. I guess you don't understand what a TON of other companies do, and READ what it says; limited time offer. A pre-order traditionally is just to make sure you get the game. Like say you didn't pre order WoW : WotLK CE guess what you don't get it. I'm really sick of fanboy answers, in all honestly it wasn't presented properly.

It's overly generous to give a 75% refund after launch, but for 75% on a cancelled pre order isn't. But agreed this isn't going anywhere and Stardock is already very aware of the thread.

Stardock doesn't say you are buying beta software. It says you are download and / or retail box for Demigod. The beta is shown as a limited time offer and not presented as what you are buying. All in all Stardock is wrong from what I can see and read. Fanboys aside if this was Gamestop people would be flipping out. Not to mention since only a few people are effected by this and feel so strongly about it, it's just good customer service at this point to end this. It's obvious for new customers

I'll be totally honest, if this was an agreement we signed when we got the game or at least made obvious it wouldn't be a big deal. It wasn't, I had no idea this was different and you need to make things like this known. Stardock can go against the mold, but people need to be told how it works.

Well you also need to make this much more clear when you purchuse the item. It said it was limited beta test NOT that you are buying beta software like your refund policy states. The game is NOT released, the item we have recieved is NOT complete. To not be able to cancel and get a full refund for a game that isn't out yet is wrong. We preordered a game, not a beta.
