I've suggested multiple times a much better way of handling this. I guess we can look forward to even more severe griefing. People will be afk'ing and they will be suiciding. Thanks so much for that....

I haven't read the entire thread so if it was suggested already.... For most of the custom game options why not just show the default in parenthesis and then provide drop-down lists of incremental settings and allow people to pick the actual setting? If you show the default, people can kind of figure for themselves how much different some other actual # would be.
More consequence for disconnecting
This will alienate new/casual players. I'm totally cool w

Ok, here's what you probably need to do.... *Only on one of the machines* Run ImpuleReactorOptions.exe in the /bin folder of Demigod. In the port number boxes put 6133 and 6153. This is make that machine use different ports than the other one, which is the likely source of the problem. You may need to configure router ports if these aren't already opened. While proxy or NAT might get through, the performance is always better (even if marginally) if
How about: AI replacement gives no XP/Gold to other team when killed..
This one is not bad. It is not as good... but it is not bad.

I discovered some kind of a bug in my router where it would not let me forward a range because it kept telling me a port in the range was already involved in another forwarding rule. That port was nowhere to be found in any range or in any screen anywhere I looked on the router. I had to use the factory defaults reset button to wipe out the router settings completely before I could get it to take a rule for that port. Not sure if it'd help you any, but if you're comfortable losing you
Also split the continuous gold they would have been getting among the other people. That's a lot of gold.
Don't you think at some point that tips the scale the other way? Wouldn't it make you disadvantaged if a teammate did not leave? I mean everyone wants more gold. I know I want more gold. I just don't think that really addresses the problem, particularly in a 2v1 situation. Sure, it would help. But it isn't going to make up for the fact that you can'

Rhym, are you familiar with the term ad hominem? You have given an almost impeccable example. Right now, I can definitely see your point that your friends in particular may just let you be dropped instead of all agreeing to concede the game and start a new one with you, I know that would be my choice from what I've seen from you so far. However, nothing I have said discounted the possibility that they may do so in spite of your attitude. As a matter of fact, I pretty

Inf, I confused you with Vyper. I don't think splitting the meager gold of someone who ran out and got killed by towers twice in the first 5-10 minutes is really gonna sway a game much. However, I do think that someone doing something like farming half of some big artifact cost and then leaving it to their teammate (who has saved the other half) would be a pretty awesome tactic. Mageslayer at level 5, anyone?
That's really dumb. I shouldn't be able to make an enemy quit by quitting myself.
Yet, right now you can effectively make ALL enemies quit by quitting yourself. gg,
Are you retarded? You can't force a player to quit because some dumbshit ragequit on the other team. If noone wants to leave, everyone stays.
Yes, it evens things up but I don't see the merit in punishing someone from the team who decided to stick it out.
Yeah I know, but they get a free win and favor + the remaining players still get to not have a wasted game on their hands. in a 5v5 that would be 8 players benefiting. You'd never be less than a 50% favorite to benefit from it and you'd often be more.

I don't think custom game favor is supposed to be given like that. Infinite, you agreed with this in another thread before. What changed your mind?

The only way you'll get good at mp is to mp. SP is pretty much a joke. Hard to Nightmare is a matter of luck and early farming of the ai to keep up with their insane items. I see SP as a basic skills trainer. You can learn timing, working around the click bug, judging a fight to see just how close you can cut it, and stuff like that. Teamwork is pretty much nil and what is required to win is almost completely different. Come play mp.

Favor items will discourage casuals if they reset. When they hover the DG icon it will be like a commitment. Either you play enough to get your favor up so you can compete on the same level or you just skip it altogether. Most people are not going to want to jump in here and there to play against people with a clear starting advantage. Hopefully matchmaking attempts pairing people with roughly even favor to avoid that. If not, I think it will detract from the

As rook, I go something along the lines of: raise tower, arrows, save the point, save the point, boulder roll, light shoulder tower, god strength, then mostly maxing stats and light tower, taking trebuchet and any/all levels of god strength asap. If it goes that long, at 16 or so you want to get some pts into that massive hammer you got. His regen will be ridiculous and so you'll want to be able to put a hurting on him in a big way. boulder roll -> smack that bloodsuck

What would cause games to not be recorded at all? I had two panth games that me and another person played to completion against two opponents. One game both opponents stayed till the end. The other game, one opponent said gg and left a couple minutes before we won. Neither of them counted as a win/loss/anything.

All I suppose I am saying is that you shouldn't take it as bossy because someone says do this or do that. Most of the time it is a genuine effort to help the team. Not all the time. There are some amazingly annoying brats out there. Just understand that this 'barking of orders' usually just isn't. The quickest way to get the point across is the best way, imo. Time is a most important resource. I played a 2v2 the other night and the first thing the guy said was along th

Jeez. Chill out. The guy was just trying to help. You want him to give you a midgame reacharound to make you feel comfy. Seeing people get all bent because someone tries to help them just makes me want to quit when I get paired with a noob. It's a waste of my time playing with someone who is so content with sucking that they get pissed off if someone tries to help them. WTF are they playing skirmish/panth for then? None of my business I suppose... They have the

I guess I was just lucky for awhile. It had seemed to be working fine for me. Today it cheated me out of two wins. Bah. It also seems to be giving credit for beating the AI in pantheon. I'm lucky enough to be able to connect and I guess it's still fun even panth is meaningless, but why even bother if it's like this? Maybe skirmish is working better.

Yeah... just because they can look at packets to try to determine their nature doesn't mean they do. It would be unsurprising to find out they just screw with traffic over certain ports. People should complain and raise hell, change providers, and get other people to do the same. It's all well and good that they want to do this stuff. It's just up to the consumer to force them to be technically competent and do it in a way that doesn't screw the customer.

It is more of a workaround than a fix, but you could set your 22" as primary and unclick 'extend my desktop tot his monitor' for the 19".
