I'd rather have some RTS in this RPG .
Exactly this. Every SC/FA player who's interested in Demigod (myself included) wishes for more actual RTS elements in this game.

Cursor tracking has already been asked, http://forums.demigodthegame.com/337110
It still works, its just an option now thats not on by default. Gameplay -> Edge Tracking - set to ON. Then everything is back to what your used to.
And I believe the spacebar is the key you are looking for to rotate the camera.
Sometime in October, thought I could get into beta 1 late, but no dice....
THIS week? Wow, that's a lot sooner than I expected. [e digicons][/e] Keep up the crunch!
It's rather fun to watch the bolt flying around you. :D ...Yah I've seen this happen.
I agree; gereals are still playing like assassins. I'm sure they have something cooked up to fix that, but I'll toss my ideas out anyway: IMO, I don't like the "idols" at all. Ideally, generals should have three different types of unique creeps, which are upgraded via their skill tree. The slots on the right for summoning minions can stay, because to keep the generals interesting, upgrading a certain type of creep should have a corresponding ability that they ca
Rook is great the way he is actually, IMO. All his skills are useful, and he's exactly fitting into the niche he's supposed to: a hero-killer and tank for pushing towers. However, even if you have a good rook on your team, a good general will just run away and use mobility to their advantage to keep you out of the fight while slowly wearing your base down, so he's not exactly OP.
I think it makes sense that it should be only when a demigod gets the kill, hence the "smite." However, I'm pretty sure this message gets played even when you're not the team to get first smite.... Oh, and we need the wraith-voice announcements back, the current ones suck.
If you can't log in there is currently one solution: Use a non-pirated version of Windows.
Perhaps someone else on your team has already bought the upgrade, so you can't?
I haven't had any problems yet getting 2v2 or 3v3 going online...though you do have to let it "try to connect" for a while, and I still log out or restart inbetween games or successful connecitons.
Woot, I'm all over that update. :D
It's a bit roughly written, but gives quite a bit more background and depth. [e digicons][/e] Though I wonder how long it would take some Blizzrad fanboy to say "oh look, the DotA ripoff even took the "Defense of the Ancients" name and used it literally."
New Skills Added: Unclean Beast, The Rook, Oak, Sedna and the Queen of Thorns have some new skills that require a high level to access. Some of these skills are dependant on multiple skills to reach. New Level Cap: Demigods are now level capped at 20 per match. This, combined with the new skills, should make for some interesting choices on what skills to take.
These are probably the two most important changes; a main
but its not based off of greek mythology. Its like it but nothing is greek, named or really looking. but still nice ideas.
Mostly Norse mythology is what I see... Mostly good ideas, though giants earlier is a bit of a game-breaker.
Similarly, the items, weapons, armor and other tangible constructs only exist within the Arena in spiritual form. Thus, Demigods who recognize this can stack different types of items together that could not be in the mortal world (the only hint the Gods provide is that the items, when equipped, cannot be visually seen by observers or other Demigods).
I don't think we'll ever be able to see any items but our own - something I like actu
Soccer must be a Regulus player, because he is creep/teammate-dependent early game; though he outranges towers late game. Anywa; IMO, why the hell would you want assassins to need creep support? The whole point of assassins/generals is that the assassins don't need to have anything to do with the creeps. If you're so concerned about where the creeps are going, just play a general yourself.
...then that team has terrible teamwork? You have the abilty to type messages for a reason.
I have a full post on this and some other stuff I'm putting up later, but one of my idea was for generals to be able to place markers to "direct" or "give priority" for creeps. Ex: place a "catapultasauria attack this" marker to get them to focus on destroying a tower or "minotaur guard" to get your minotaurs to protect a flag. This gives generals the ability to direct their team's creeps' actions, but not complete control.
My 2 cents: Please don't go easy on the user manual or story. A well-designed manual gives a good first impression and displays professionalism, while a good story really sucks players into the game's world and makes them care about the game. That said, I also preferred it when it was the "All-Father" who "misteriously disappeared." Reason being, if everything is laid out with a bunch of strange names at the start and the plot line is basically:</
I witnessed this, and though I'm not sure exactly how it works, he basically becomes untouchable.
...I've had no problems so far? Ya'll need to forward your ports. Ya'll. [e digicons]X|[/e]
IMO, there is something "lacking" in the current items. You just buy item X to improve stat Y, and they don't really do anything meaningful besides that. They should really complement the abilities more, though I'm not sure if recipies are the answer. To use DotA as a comparison, a Butterfly is a great weapon, but only on certain heroes. In Demigod, getting the All-Father Ring is a safe bet on pretty much anyone. So...there needs to be some actual strategy in your item
