While I do not belive anything's wrong with HoL, I see loads of topics about how OP or imbalaced it is with some demigods. I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this before, I couldn't find any posts about this, anyway here's my idea: What if the HoL functioned like the Orb of Defiance? "Cannot move, attack or use abilities.", the portable unlimited crystal feeling would remain, yet it'd have it's drawbacks (becoming a sitting duck). Oak couldn't use his shield (though an ally

Try buying cheap low health items for once instead of HoL. And you'll see depending on a HoL makes anyone fragile. (except Oak, but that's a bug about to be fixed) You can get +1500 health (or more?) from that 4250, that health will be just enough to chase him into the towers when he's retreating making his HoL obsolete. If he can outrun you, use Wand of Speed which is 1250, that 3000 gold is still enough for +1100 health upgrade. HoL should cost a bit more, but I'm no
Doesn't change the fact battle.net multiplayer experience was better in 1998 than DG Multiplayer in 2009.
Yes, it's true, and now get over it. I've seen a hundred threads like this. Blizzard learned from their mistakes with Diablo, and I'm sure Stardock/GPG learned from the mistakes with Demigod as well. Nothing can be absolutely perfect at start.
I think it would be a great addition to a surrender option, to have anyone who quits a game (not by surrendering as a team) a "deserter debuff". I got the idea from WoW, anyone who'd quit a game would be unable to join any for 10 minutes or so, this way players would be forced to use the surrender option, and not just quit. And if someone is in a hurry or something it's ok if he quits, he wouldn't want to join a new game anyway.
Well, we won a dominate game half an hour ago with Oberscheisse, me as TB, my teammate as UB against 2 Sedanas. I died 3 times (yeah that's three) during the first 5-10 minutes, and had no kills, no money, nothing. I tried to avoid conflict after that and started to focus on citadel upgrades. It was a really close match, our opponents were really good players, but we manged to win. My teammate was one hell of a good UB, but even he had no kills nor deaths during th
Are these songs included in the CE box or somewhere? Because my box hasn't arrived yet, and I can't find them in any of the installed folders.
Noticed this one as well...back in beta 2, Hopefully it'll be fixed for release.
Maybe making it a togglable ability that hurts anything that damages (normal attack even ranged, not spells) the TB, and costs mana per sec? That would work kinda like a shield for him. EDIT: and it'd be interrupted by stuns, that way it can be countered.
I don't think they should rework the best mechanic they came up with, and why does it take more skill to pull off boulder+slam? It's quite simple against melee heroes, 4 clicks actually. Anyway, a stun removing 1 use item would solve everything, but it might make stuns useless, then again TB is a glasscannon, he needs to do loads of damage in an instant, just look at a fire TB with the cooldown reducing favor item, with that one he does around 2700 damage in 4-5 seconds plus a fire
This is the last beta stage, and it's closed already sorry, but april 14 isn't that far away. :)
Maybe introducing an item (scroll) that removes every effect from you (even friendly ones) and is castable while stunned? (would also remove stun) It'd need to cost a lot for a 1 use item like 750 gold, but it'd be a great strategic item. If you use it too much you won't have enough money to buy other items, but if you use it effectively you'll have the upper hand. Edit: Or maybe an item that only removes stun effects, and makes you immune to them for like 5 seconds, that
Well, the damage might be too harsh, but don't forget you can do pretty much the same with Rook: Boulder roll + Hammer slam, and those are only 2 skills (AOE too). And the thing is if you go down the deepfreeze tree, you don't really have any other tricks, if someone escapes from the effect you're pretty much dead or need to retreat, and it's not that hard to do, once it can do 2800 damage, you'll have a lot of money, buying the invulnerability trinket (or being Oak) makes deep freeze useless
Every stun works like that.
Great update, giant performance increase (+5 FPS) I love you devs! [e digicons]
Just wanted to say, the new patch increases graphic performance dramatically (at least for me) I have +4-5 FPS constantly. I don't know if this was the last part of the engine optimalization, just an nVidia bugfix or something else, anyway, thank you Devs, You're my demigods! Keep up the good work!
How come SupCom didn't need it then? I thought they'd optimise the performance...
Wrong quote sorry wanted to quote NwExilon .
I don't see the problem in the picture?
Oh I didn't know that...thought they didn't change the SupCom engine that much. X800 cards use Pixel Shader 2.0 as well...so that solves the mystery.
Running an X800 Pro as well, and having the same problem
I have the same problem with an Ati X800 It's slow as hell, and looks really bad, even though i had no problems with Supreme Commander (same engine) DXDIAG: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 9/6/2008, 04:08:05 Machine name: EMBER2 Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp.080413-2111) &nbs
