it would be the kind of scam that targets you, and you alone out of all the people that are on this forum, much less purchased this game. Frankly, I'd feel kind of special.

RE: Trade off I think what the OP meant is more like "net gain" rather than strictly speaking a "Trade off". In response to OP, I think it depends... specifically in this case, where those towers are. If you are able to destroy towers around portals, I think a net gain is acceptable, especially if the towers you lose are not in the path of enemy creeps. That is to say, You don't want to lose towers in the direction ene

Just a quick note with regard to gold and cit upgrades specifically: while the strategy you choose is determined by the situation, keep in mind one immutable fact - the sooner you purchase an upgrade, the longer you gain the benefits therefrom (and consequently, the more 'valuable' it is). Nowhere is this made more obvious than with gold upgrades; with respect to the remainder, you need to consider battle-damage aggregation over time. As most will note and p

Personally: "Simple" Feature - Change color in SP. I'm kinda sick of being stuck with yellow all the time. Couldn't we have an easier, intuitive method, such as simply click the color and checking a box (much like selecting DG) - those colors already taken could be greyed out. "Complex" Feature - New map or two. I could stand to keep playing the original set of DG's and refine my skills with them, but a change of scenary and layout would be nic

If you have a way to get rid of jerks on the internet, congratulations: you are now rich =p It's a sad state of affairs that competitive anything will, in some people, lead to poor sportsmanship no matter what. When you add the safety of anonymity from the internet, it can only go downhill. Best bet is to keep your own blacklist of who to avoid, and friendlist of good players you like to play with.

Chris taylor... didn't he do wing commander, back in the day? or have I got the wrong guy? Also, any chance of a frog-man demigod? =) Tadpole minions that are useless at first but grow into stronger frog men with additional ranks?

I discussed the Snipe theory craft advantages and disadvantages here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348964 sadly, it turns out to be theorycraft, because Scope doesn't provide enough range for Regulus to actually leverage the advantage meaningfully. I'd stick with maim and stat up instead of scope upgrades; ymmv And yes, as is consistently pointed out (in my own thread, and as I have mentioned in some of the TB and Sedna threads), it's

You could develop a technology that turns poop into gold, and people will be upset that they have to first poop (not realizing how much worse it'd be to turn poop into gold while still in your intestine). i'm not sure i agree with the full limitation on map selection, as that will tend to concentrate demo players in certain games... and with each other... and if all they can play AND play against are the same set of DG on the same maps, that might not be best. Incidentally, will the moderators have the ability to subtract karma from rage-quitters? I think that would solve some problems

Yeah, just as a follow up... The testing didn't pan out. As i stated, it was theorycraft when I wrote it, and sadly, it will remain that way. There are a number of issues that prevent it from orking out as a superior strategy. For one, the range increases simply aren't significant. As we all note, the first increase is significant because it allows you to outdistance towers (and this demonstrates why, on paper, range increases ar

The icy skills are put into later since I got perma forst and be able to chase down if I could not finish the guy completely. Not to mention for 20 sec after change to ice I got weapon dmg increase (

one of the keys here is... win before your game takes 2hrs =p Be bolder, and more aggressive, especially early on, and especially on the small maps. On a big map, errors are recoverable. On a small map, errors quickly turn to entrenched advantages. But at 2hrs, that must be at the least lv20 DGs, with plenty of (if not entirely) expensive items and upgraded citadels... you generally want to win before that point if possible... as well as be familiar with all

I'm sure you'd also make some press and create some internet buzz if you did something so ingenious .. nothing but good things can come of it. Do it. Do it. Do it. I agree. I would definately play a Pirate themed Demigod. (Must be an Assass

needs a dg of sausage and meat byproducts. Cheeseburger of paradise - you can has healing. Wrathful Carnitas - taste better the next day. Divine wondermeat - random effect on dg within range. Divine sausage - adds 15 weapon damage and a smoky aftertaste. Prosciutto di harma - succulent sliced ham grants 500 heal, but triples all recasts and reduces walking speed to 1.0

[quote who="Sean0883" reply="7" id="2170203"] Quoting trankillity, reply 2TBs aren't fantastic DG killers, they're more about control. Fireball doesn't do that much damage, in fact UB spit does more damage at max rank. There's also lots of counters to Fireball because of the long cast time (Stuns/Shields). The only time you can get a lot of burst off on a DG is if you go Frost and get the 3x Shatter bonus. I have found Frost to definitely be the best all-round focus, plus you can shoot o

I've been reading the forums for a few days now before deciding to invest in this game. This is because I find the forums as a good indicator of the current status of the game (if not necessarily accurate). Also, I've learned an important lesson from Hellgate: London (yes, I'm a 'survivor'). For those who don't know, Hellgate: London was a hybrid game put out by Flagship studios - a now defunct (to my knowledge) software studio that was headed by Bill Roper
