The upgraded turrets and hangar defenses sound great. I will definitely try these. This sounds to good to be true. I will be probably asking for a counter to these next week! I didn't realize a second weapons upgrade on the starbase would be different from the first one, so I didn't even bother getting the first one. The second weapons upgrade sounds like it has potential as well. Any advice on which defensive starbases upgrades are worthwhile (shie

The AI's seem to always have a larger fleet supply than me. Recently, i ran into a fleet of mostly carriers (20 or so), a level 8 Kortul, and level 10 Skirantra, and a few other ships. What would be a good defense on a planet to defend that (besides a bigger army)? What are some of the nasty tactics that people use when playing as Vasari against the AI (in general, and specifically against the above mentioned scenario) to overcome a larger AI force? Also, I am not that
Tyr, do u recommend using siege frigates to bomb the planets instead of a Cap?
What folder do u put replays into so that u can watch them?
Ok, so i highlight all the fighters nearby and i try to queue up a bunch of targets to attack. Sometimes it seems to work, but other times it does not. Any ideas why it doesnt work sometimes (besides operator error)? I also tried to use the hold position tactic when the enemy was stationary. Also, i was playing the hard computer and he through a bunch of units at me. as i figured out how to somewhat micro the fighters, i seemed to be slowly coming back.&n
I see this referred to a lot. Is the Holy Trinity the Radiance Animosity + Mothership Shield Regen + Rapture Vengeance? Thanks.
Militia forces, on like the 2nd or 3rd planet that I take over. I can kill them, but they seem to kill 1 or 2 LF's from time to time. Do most people teleport them out, or just let them die. Or am I not brining enough ships to the battle? Assuming I have a Cap ship, how many LF's should I bring with me to take over an Ice planet or Desert planet?
What is the best way to avoid losing ships while taking over planets (esp. terran planets). Should i not use skirmishers (LF's)?
How does armor factor in? I assume armor reduces the damage before shield mitigation? Which type of ships is armor most effective against (BA, LRF, Carriers, etc.)?
Thanks for the help!
I played a game last night and I could swear that the Egg's Nano-Disassembler had a circle radius when I tried to use it? Does it auto pick a target because I assume it can't work on more than one ship? Thanks for help.
The Capital Ship abilities post is nice. The ship damage type chart is also very nice. Is there any such guide for the support ship abilities? I tried using the search feature on the forums, but it doesnt seem to work very well. Thanks.
Ok, i know that the Vasari Navigators can build refineries on asteriods, but what are the advantages of the other 2 races as far as collecting resources. Can the other 2 get resources from uninhabital areas (plasma fields) that have asteriods? Thanks for your help.
WJC, what about the income penalty caused by the increased fleet size? Seems like that would be more of a factor than the one time research cost of the increased fleet size?
Download the updates and found it. Thanks for the help.
I can not find the option to turn off the pirates. I see the place to choose "options", but not "game options" as EmpPal stated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
