If only DOTA had online matchmaking and ranking system...

Was part of the beta, was unimpressed. Actual game mechanics aren't as tight as DOTA. Building up to higher tier items was a way better feature rather than in Demigod where you just buy the single item. On top of that, ganking is totally missing from Demigod. You see Demigods clearly and fog of war is nothing in comparison to the fog of war in DOTA that you can actually hide in. Furthermore, the depth of each demigod doesn't make up for the lack of different ones. Skill trees were way exagger
Telling friends to buy game when Clan Wars come out.
Nothing Worked, I tried going to your link, and i wasn't prompted to download any file. It was just jargon on a page.
I've tried everything for the update option to appear and it still doesn't appear. Rofl... I preordered this and have been playing this since the beta. 45 dollars down drain?
But it's not giving me the option to update even now. I'm still unable to play this game online.
same here
How about giving the players an option of having an arranged team. So they know everyone on their team is legit, and any1 who drops out on the other team results in a win for the first team.
Grats on top 10, But all i'm sayin is my friends and I are gonna roll you guys when the real version comes out and we cut away from DOTA.
Will it be possible to team up with my buddies and fight against other teams for a rank? Similar to the system in Wc3 Ladder where group play would be individually ranked. The pantheon version that just allows me to contribute points to an overall point goal feels really lame.
My only hope is a ranking system for me and my buddies who will play as a team. Random matchmaking (probably based on a skill rating) + able to keep a rank for a persistent team = Awesome.
Accidently posted again =O
Rook is OP get some boots of speed + wand of speed and you'll catch up to practically any1. (Also there's a favor item that i use that increases speed if you want to count that) Just because its theoretically possible to dodge the boulder doesn't mean you will. Most of the time someone is playing offensive, I TP in, stun them, Drop the hammer and then (if they're not dead) hit wand of speed and chase them down. I also straight up lol at un
I'd have to give my vote to rook
For all of you who are still playing DOTA and are psyched about Demigod, don't forget to shout out, "Demigod the game, check it out!" when you're owning the opposing team. I also host games that auto refresh themselves that just say, "Demigod Coming April 2009". I just want this game to be big.
Alright, so I'll be ok if i pre-order during beta 2?
I've been navigating the site for a long time, and I can't find a comprehensive guide to how I start playing the beta. Me and my friends are interested in playing the beta right now. What steps do we take? I know we have to pre-order to game which I will do, but then what? Do I then get emailed a beta key and then download the beta from somewhere? Is there an online server up that people are playing games on? A link to a guide of how to get active in the beta would really help me out. Thanks.
[quote who="abix85" reply="14" id="1863864"]First, its terrible form to bash the game mechanics of DotA when you say, "I am not now nor have I ever been a DotA player" So you dont play it, but you feel qualified to talk about it? Not sure I get that. Too many terrible points to do a point-counterpoint for each one, but the biggest one is this: quoting post You might ask, "Why try to redesign a game and improve on it when theres alr
I read this http://www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?story=52094 and i'm confused as to the meaning of it. Does no copy protection mean that the game is completely transferable to someone else? (Online play included) Will there still be use of cd keys? A simple explanation or a link in the right direction would be appreciated.

Well i just hope this awesome idea of a game isn't botched up by lack of initial content. I really want this game to be successful (i've already been telling people about it in my DOTA games) and i guess there's nothing i can do but wait and see how the end result turns out.
