Actually, think I got #2 now too. Found this thread on this forum: winFx prevents Visual Studio .NET from Launching Sounded similar though windowFX seemed to be running fine with IP, but when I unregistered the dll from IP Enhanced Dialog works great. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd_com/

As to #1 I discovered something today. Digging through my settings I found that my 8X AGP support wasn't enabled. Re-enabling it and checking BIOS gave me no results. So I dug out my motherboards system disc and installed my NForce All-In-One drivers, reenabled 8X, and rebooted. Viola checking the enable hardware acceleration in WindowFX doesn't cause any stuttering and everything is working perfectly there. Booyah! Now if I can o

Yeah sorry, I know... I was tired and grumpy last nite. Working with a new backup program at 4 in the morning can do that to you. I'll shoot off an email to tech support later in the day. Like I said, would love to see this become a stable product... it was pretty cool when it did work. Thanks.

Well, I made an Image and started playing. Found the 2 culprits I think. 1. Enabling hardware support in WindowFX for pixel shading etc, causes the mouse skips and general performance drop. Dragging windows around sure looks nice, but disabled this and found a nice stable system. 2. Enhanced Dialog. Very nice idea, love the thing when it works. But unfortunately most the time it's crap. After installing most programs will not star

I recently renewed my OD order and am having all kinds of trouble using it on my system. Behavior includes: Mouse button assignments randomly worked and stopped working, Programs would refuse to launch- either from start menu or explorer, some programs would crash on startup. System was 100% stable prior to OD install, and is stable now that I uninstalled everything. BTW, had to go into safe mode to uninstall as stardock central would not run normally.

The mouse an Apple innovation? That one cracked me up since it was invented in 1964. The Apple I didn't come along till more than 10 years later and the Apple Lisa which finally made use of the mouse came out in 1983 or 1984. Apple innovation indeed, but hey didn't they patent that hockey puck? I would have to agree with Skaarjking that most of those weren't innovations, but borrowed ideas from existing products. Except the gui, they bought it and were the first to release it - works fo

bleh. Unless this thing has a virtual hard drive why's apple have their panties in a bunch. Virtually every mp3 player on the market has an ipod skin. I just installed an iPod skin for Quintessential Player - didn't make me think I was using an iPod. Apple and their lawsuits.

If I understand this scheme correctly, it's just clever theft. The artist goes from getting a miniscule percentage of CD sales to virtually nothing at all. Only winner snapster and the thiefs using it. I doubt it would stand up to legal challenge anyway. What we need is a service that provides music downloads cheap and shares the revenue with the artist. And by cheap I mean about half of what Apple is charging (about 50 cents a single, $5 an album). There are no manufacturing costs, thi

GraphicLight: I had that problem as well. I think I had an older version of WinStyles (like version 1.61 instead of 1.62). Try uninstalling Winstyles, deleting it, and then redownloading it in Component Manager. After reinstalling you should be able to install all of the components in the suite.

I just read McNeill's article and I must say this is more of a rebuttal than need be. His "Expert"'s are questionable to begin with and it looks like he misquotes them. I believe most of them refer to applications that are skinned rather than a program that skins an entire OS (Which is consistent on that machine). To suggest that I would be "inefficient" when working on someone else's computer is an insult to my intelligence. The close button is at the same spot. The maximize button is a
