As much as I dislike Steam for it's very shake offline modes and forced patches which can fail and lock you out of your games for extended periods of time (happened to me very, very often up until last year... so they have gotten better), I must say that Steam is pretty ubiquitous now. Especially if you own both a PC and a Mac.

I did not know that if a player quits, a concede message is also sent. That seems a bit unecessary and confusing, since the AI should have no say regarding concedes or not. Still, the message text when you try to concede indicate that you will quit immediately, rather than placing your vote and remaining in game.
I've have two games now in which the following has happened: 1) Text appears saying a player wants to concede the game and immediately after, a message says that AI has taken over for that player 2) The game continues and when it ends, that players appears to get 40 favor points That sounds like bugs to me because: A ) When a player chooses the concede option, he should not be allowed to quit until all players on that team has also voted to concede the game.
this is a team game. assists are more important than your kills.
Yes, but are assists rewarded? I've also noticed that, because I am usually the only one on my team who locks strategically important flags, and because I keep running around locking them, I usually end up with the least kills and least experience, and thus, the least favor points. Yet, I'm fairly certain that in a few of those games, if I did
I think it is rather silly that if you do 90% of the damage to another player, and then an Erebus swarms in or a Regulus snipes, they get the kill and you get the assist. Ok, I can grant them the kill stat, but I hope the favor point rewards comes from the damage percentage and not just that count.
All I know is that I was Oak in one level, with speed anklet and speed boots, and the Torch Bearer was at least TWICE if not three times as fast as I was, and I never saw him slow down.
I'm playing a single player tournament on "hard AI" settings, and from game to game, one opponents gains absolutely ridiculus speeds. We're talking speeds comparative to a level 20 Unclean Beast with all possible speed items, and this just on level 10. It happened to a Torch Bearer on round 3, and now to an Erebus on round 4. It's absolutely ridiculus. Also, if I may comment, to give the AI stat boosts is a really cheap way to cheat with AI. I mean, everyone ch

I don't think it's all about unmatched opponents, but yes that is a big part of it. Also, I think this problem is a lot more common than what those who don't agree with me believe. I just noticed this on Penny Arcade (which is quite an influential site), written by one of the creators:
Kiko and I were attempting to play Demigod fairly regularly until we played an online match that went so incredibly wrong that I can't bring myself to execute

This is completely wrong, a speed/AA build can successfully kite and kill both of those DGs without mines, with maxed MotB it is easy. Also, mines may be an AoE but they don't count as direct damage to

This thread has really great suggestions! I'd like to add one (which may or may not be in patch 1.1 ...the wording was a bit ambiguous in the notes): 11. Have the chat history permanently displayed on the screen.

You can use this with any Demigod if you take Orb of Defiance. Whenever you get hit - whether you actually take the damage or not, the Heart of Life regen should be interupted. I'll add my vote to this sillyness. I don't even think you should be allowed to move while using the HoL. EDIT: Whoops... I didn't see that this thread was about the orb... I think even the Oak + HoL combo should be nerfed!

I didn't understand the elimination of good/evil alignments for races. Will there not be a alignment compability chart at all in this game, like with Age of Wonders, where pairing some racial units with others yielded penalties, and other combinations yielded bonuses?
If you look at... http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/demigods/player/38691/ ...it appears that I haven't played with the Oak demigod at all, but that is false. I've been training with him quite a lot lately, yet he doesn't show up on that page. Am I the only one for whom the page doesn't update? (I know it's supposed to update once every 24 hours, but now it seems more like once every 24 days...)

I received no replies to the scenario above. Perhaps with a little bump and the following analysis, people might be able to view the game from a new direction: The green line is the winning players while the red line are the loosing party. The point I'm trying to make is that in classic RTS games, both sides have rough
Why do they have these errors in the first place? I've played games online since Quake and Half-Life, through Dawn of War and World in Conflict, and I've never seen another game have this.
