I saw this show up on the steam store when I logged in the other day, and immediately bought it. You have somehow made one of my favorite games of all time even better. Improvements like: New resources (rarity tokens) that tune down cap ship spam as an early-middle strategy It's gorgeous while still being faithful to the source material. Voice lines persist! Research curve for higher levels is appropriately steeper Trade ports! Trade slots!
So the short version is that we aren't going to be making new expansions for Ashes of the Singularity I. There might be more DLC but the changes we want to make are a little too radical to have as an expansion.
This is entirely understandable. The best aspects were always the premise, the music, the visuals, and the technical underpinnings (DX12 launch title). I loved the storytelling around the premise even at - es

Hmm, I thought I was careful to not go backwards. Each mission should get you progressively more abilities and features. I argue that this does a better job of teaching players how to play than throwing everything at them at once. Speaking to the Wat's like of using the campaign as a sandbox mode, we can have our cake and eat it too. Howabout a "New Game+" style feature. After you'd already beaten the mission on Normal or harder, it lights up a "Hard + all abilities unl

Part 2 for campaign review as of the 2.6 patch: Escalation. See the earlier thread for Imminent Crisis. There's a few story oddities that don't line up with the timeline of this happening after the end if Imminent Crisis, such as Orion Spur's text/voiceover of "the ability to upgrade defenses" and Lagoan's text/voiceover about "what is that, almost as big as a dreadnaught" when referring to the PHC Hera cruiser. I gave Falnas another try on Normal, and it seemed OK to me. The trick to it is to cap the plateau pointed out to you early with a scout unit you start with, and to have a factory pointed at that plateau w/ repeat build queue'd of ~ 3 Brute, 7 Archer, 1 Medic. This pretty much keeps her at bay while you deal with the closer enemy first.
Substrate Healer (Medic Equivalent).
It finally clicked why the healing change for Substrate just felt off. There is no longer a way to (essentially) out-of-combat heal your units as Substrate, and the healing drones for the Nest of the Queen are overpowered for in-combat healing. They are also thematically weird for Substrate to have them only on a juggernaut. Instead of adding a medic unit, please consider once aga
Some kind of heavy fighter craft, advanced air, with strong anti aircraft weapons. These weapons would be slow firing and the aircraft it's self would be slower and less manoeuvrable, even more expensive then the basic fighter craft making it ineffective against fast, nimble and large numbers of smaller aircraft while also making them vulnerable to heavy static anti aircraft fire.
