[quote]Please do not spread false information. The rule you list was only among newbies and scrubs. TDA rules (from the clan that maintained the map) were quite different: First of all, what you described is Creep Skipping (bypassing your wave to attack something). It's perfectly legal to Creep Skip to attack the outer towers. You weren't allowed to Creep Skip into the enemy base (but you can remain inside even if your creeps got killed). Backdoor was ONLY whe

Hey guys. The maps in Demigod works out great for me so far. I like the different flags. The thing I am most excited about tho is the opportunity to buy upgrades to your creep waves and buildings. Way too cool:) But, yes there it came, the inevitable but:) but i miss 1 thing in this more than anything else. That is neutral zones between lanes. They dont have to be swarmed by neutral creeps like in DotA allthough it wouldnt hurt. The reason for this is simply the strategic element. Neu

Hey guys. I have played Demigod some time now, and i am getting more familiar with all the skills and the items. I think that the Item basics are good now and more are probably on their way. I am positively surprised with many of them. My personal favorite is the item that gives you ability to warp. But i miss some really unique items. Like some that could give you stealth ability, spell protection(could be dam reduction or like linkens sphere that blocks incomming spells once every s

Hi guys. In DotA there was a rule called backdooring. It basically means that you may not attack buildings before your creeps get there. That is simply to make the control of waves more important. And IMO it would be very positive if GPG simply put that into the game. It could very easily be done by simply making buildings invulnerable if the attacking creeps is not withing a certain distance of them. I would like to hear your take on this.

Hey guys. Just thinking of some skills that would be cool. I havent actually played Demigod yet, but i can still think of some skills. I have played dota for a while now, and this is not a dota vs demigod thread. Im just thinking that if you could look at the most popular and fun skills in dota why not impliment them in demigod? Pudges hook for instance. It is basically a hook you throw in a straight line. The trick to this is that you cant target a hero, you ha

Reply to Demigod vs DOTA in Demigod

just want to say to all that i wasnt attacking demigod by doing this thread. seems that some ppl took it that way. Im a big dota fan, and i see it as a positive thing that gaspowered games found inspiration in it. And just to respond to all the posts about op and useless. No heroes are useless in Dota. then its the player who does not know the hero role or plays it wrong. A hero can be the best in the game with a negative score. Yet there are OP heroes. But only 1 truly

Hey guys. I havent had the pleasure getting to play demigod yet, but when beta2 starts i will be all over it. Im just wondering how this game matches up to dota. How similar are they in fact and in your oppinion what is the best of them? One of my biggest conserns is that i heard you can only choose from 8 different demigods opposed to 93 in DOTA. Does the increased options of speccing your hero even this out a bit? This is comming from a guy who has played +5000 games
