yes this is stupid. How hard can it be for a modern game to support modern resolutions?
Since the 800x600 resolution got extincted for many years 1024*768 could be expected as minimum available resolution. A resolution of 720 pixel in height is still very uncommon for PC gamers. To verify this just take a look at the Steam hardware survey of may 2012. The following list shows all resolutions that have more than 1% share of the user base and a

FPS games learned a long time ago that you have autodownload mods when the person tried to connect to the game. Hell even starcraft did this and that game is over 10 years old! Some days I wonder what game developers have been smoking, its like they forgot the last 10 years of advances in games.
I think probably they had planned to release Demigod for their own and

It should be "IF YOU DONT LIKE TEAMPLAY, YOU SHOULDNT PLAY THIS GAME ONLINE". There are at least two kind of players that have a different definition of fun. For some it is fun to play online and play against strong enemies. They spend much time in playing the game online and get better and better. As they are searching for a challange they do not want to

If you do not play on a regular base then also some games against the AI are nice. Multiplayer on the other hand require serious skills or it is no real fun if y

I have played Demigod mainly in single player, and still do it sometimes. Singleplayer is fun for a while. How long depends on if you like to set your own goals. For example after I had the skill to win the nightmare tournament I set my private goal to win the tournaments with 1000 favor points and more or I tried to win first 1 vs. 3 games, then 1 vs. 4 and finally 1 vs. 5 games. So if you like to increase your handicap if your skill grows you can have fun with single player for month (If yo

If you have further questions then don't hesitate. Another hint I can give is that not everything that is posted in guides and topics here is always true when playing against the AI. Most topics here are for games human vs. human games. Although for many things there is no difference there are parts of the game where things that are useful against humans do not work that well against the AI and vice versa. Probably the most notable thing is that in games against humans it is advicable
Are the minions more powerful than the creeps?
Both have their purpose but it is important to use them in the right way. Creeps are running out of the portal and then on a defined path towards the enemy citadel. So their function is to kill the enemy towers and finally the citadel. The bigger creeps like catapults and giants are quite effective with this job, unless they are killed by an enemy demigod but this is a big "unless". The proble

Artefacts are very helpful if you play single player and will play later against the stronger AI like hard and nightmare. In that games you will need them. If you play at nightmare in the tournaments your team members will be worse than the enemy. They die more often what will allow the enemy to level fast and buy expensive items. If you play 1 vs. x games then the enemy AI does not level that fast but the AI will often outnumber you. So either way you need good items to compensate that. You

Finally won a game against 5 Rook AI. I did not played with Oak but UB and at the end of the game two Rook AI seemed to be buggy so it was not a 100% 1 vs. 5 win. One of the AI stood in front of the shop buying and selling stuff like portal scrolls and potions in a endless loop. A 2nd AI stood in front of the citeadel and seemed to wait for something. http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=104534 Though even if that woul

I would give it a try and rename (or backup and then delete) your games.prefs file so a new one is created. You can find it in your Documents (Dokumente in german) folder: Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod It could be that the game has to redetect the grapics card or something like that. I had such a problem when I changed the display and that had an other resolution. Then the game also denied to work and wanted a new driver rather then telling me that it could not

Rook AI is slow and not good at escaping. If it is near to the towers it is a near 100% kill. With Oak it is very easy to kill Rooks. Use Pentinence as often as you can and then attack him directly. If you are in a lane put a Ward on the lane so you always get minons to help you. To better show this I played a game at Exile against 4 Rook Nightmare AI. http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=104203 In this game you can se

What is important with generals is to buy the priests. Their healing helps a lot. Beside of that if you do not user the minons of them they do not play much different than the assasians. Though the minions of Oak and Erebus are quite good so I usually use them. It is possible to easily win with Oak. I have not played him for a long time so I was a bit confused what build to choose but here is a replay: http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&amp

Yes zooming in and out sometimes is important. In addition there is the minimap. There you can also see some interesting things if you make a quick look at it. You can see where the demigods are at the map and where the creeps are. So you know where the intersting spots are where you want to look when you have time to zoom out and take a closer look at an other spot of the map. This things improve when you play Demigod more often.
okay . so i should choose my favor items accordingly to what build i wanna use .
Yes that is very important. Most Favor items are only good for certain builds (or they are bad for all builds ;) ). There are only very few Favor items that can be used more or less for any build and no one would say that is a poor decision. An example for that is the Swift Anklet. Though the Swift Anklet is a good thing for every build there are often Favor items

It would have been better to either first buy the ring and then the creeps or buy the creeps much earlier when you could afford them. The creeps are good to support the final attack or to get some time if y

At the back side of my Demigod box it says (translation from german): "Integrated chipsets of Intel are not supported" So I think it won't run on that integraded graphics card and even if it would, it would probabyl be too slow. This graphics is much slower than the 7400 Go of my laptop and even with that grapics the game is even with the lowest settings more or less unplayable slow.

I have made a replay against 3 Nightmare AI. I played with Rook, against UB, LE and QoT on Prison. Everything was normal (including towers) only the flag capture time was medium, which I think is not the normal thing. This was accidentially. http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=103653 I do not often play with Rook so I had some troubles with Boulder Roll and missed my enemy sometimes. ;) I thought it was necess

That is true, but actually these problems exist as long as there are people to try to cheat. This is the same as in other places where people compete against each other. Everywhere some people try to cheat. This is the same as doping in sport, or students that take Ritalin to improve their grades, or ... There are always people who do not like a fair competition but prefer to win at all costs.

The reason why I focus on damage/mana is because the main problem is not to survive. The main problem is that the AI does not get to far ahead of you. The AI should not get too much levels ahead and get good items long before you. The easiest way to do that is to kill the enemy AI. If you kill them you get gold, experience and deny it to the AI as the AI does not get anything of them while it is dead. Of course this play style is the easiest with such a massive damage dealer than UB is. With
