They're shorter versions in game
Ah, indeed. Alas - not wanting to offend any of the SD writers or whomever, but they don't come off well written... I assume they may well undergo further revision?
Their stories are actually in the game - on the character selection screen. When you're selecting a character, whichever one you currently have selected has a graphical "arrow," we'll call it, below them, to the right. If you click that, it tells you some pros/cons and their backstory.
To my knowledge, there is at the very least no item buyback (re: #3) - if you make money back when dropping an item, I completely didn't notice that. The only real advantage I see here over item dropping, is if you can suddenly afford an awesome piece, and decide for any reason to drop a piece you already had so that you can wear this new one - someone else who only put their $ into Citadel upgrades now has an item (this is assuming someone else can pick up an item you drop, which
I know this isn't exactly what you're getting at, but you can double right click on an item (not a consumable, but a weapon/armor) and it will drop it on the ground.
Thanks for responding, Tyo- if you head back this way, I was curious if any of these other ideas or possible (whether or not they'll be implemented, can you comment on, for example, suggestion A?) I'm enjoying this, though - and thanks! Best-
E. While playing as the Torch Bearer, when I've died, upon respawning my default abilities selected are the ice abilities. If I've chosen to go 100% (or mostly, in general) fire, I have to re-use "Relive the Immolation" every time I respawn. My thought here is to have whatever skillset (fire or ice) you had chosen when you die to be the skillset you're on when you resurrect. No doubt it's easy enough to just click on RTI, but it would be nice to spawn ready
I ordered yesterday (the 21st) and after some time did not get an email with the download link or my serial number. I emailed and got an auto reply saying they were out until the 5th or so of January. Not content with waiting that long, I tried to figure something else out. I went here: https://www.stardock.com/support/ :and at the top entered my email address and it re-sent me the email, this time I got it, and I've been happily
Agreed on all counts, although I personally dont have any trouble distinguishing between passive and active abilities.
Agreed, I don't either, but I thought it might make it easier for those who might not play all characters frequently or who are new to the game to distinquish.
As a note though, If I had to choose between Torch Bearers current circle of fire mech
First, I have everything loaded out at 1920x1200 and full AA... looks stunning - no graphical issues or hiccups. I'm new to Demigod, so after 30ish games in less than 24 hours I have a few thoughts (in no particular order): A. At present, to change directions requires right clicking. I would love the option for right click to move you continuously. That is to say, if you right click and hold it that you keep moving wherever the cursor is
This was a problem with Supreme Commander, on some level - where repeat connections to friends had trouble working. One (note, one - not the only) culprit was making a new game after a game you just played and naming it the same thing (ie: Bob's Game) it was called for the first game. I've noticed it here, too. Though I am able to connect and others to me (both friends and random people) it hasn't been a 100% success for all connections.
They've acknowledged password protection is coming- Tabbing is necessary, by all means, but the auto-login would fix that for a lot of us. Some of us don't log on to impusle first, but I imagine they'll figure that out. Best-
Quoting DalzK, reply 2I think programs such as vent and teamspeak are best at this. Games try to put VoiP in and it never works... E.G CnC3... Team Fortress 2 has ingame VoIP and I know for a fact that if it did not have that, it would be close to unplayable. It works well in TF2, but then again TF2 allows for ingame joining, while Demigod uses the standard RTS method of locked teams. My point being, in TF2, spammers
